I know that this movie is old news now but I saw this last night and it's probably the second or third time that I have seen it. The fact is, I love horror movies and I get a real kick out of watching them! I saw this movie last night and I was eating a bag of maltezers in the process, very nice especially whilst taking in the extremely graphic scenes. I love to experience shock and I also love the moments when it's extremely quiet and then all of a sudden something will jump out of the bag! Is this good for your heart? I don't know but I love escaping into the world of horror. What do you think about this movie? Did you like the part whereby the guy with the chainsaw had peeled off the victim's face and wore it as his own? Please share those dark thoughts! Andrew

Ah Leatherface huh I do not know why I like them so much perhaps because they are twisted and one never knows when something may shock them send them jumping. Never really started watching them till about 15 years ago ever since then I have been hooked but they have really made progress since the older ones although there are some classics still

I'm sure that I did see the last part of 'Friday the 13th'. I also like werewolf movies my favourites being 'American Werewolf in London' and 'The Howling'. I think that they were very good and very graphic too. Andrew

im a horror fan since im a kid and sometimes my aunts who are religious would tell to stop watching horror movies or else i'll be possessed by evil. heheh. i just laughed at it. til now, i still watch horror movies, it entertain me and keep me out of boredom, rather than going outside with friends, i watched at home, but still i see my friends on other days... watching horror films make me glued to the sofa or on my bed... i watched alone too, bcoz my sister and cousins are scaredy cats. but when they watch with me, they always scream!

I'm like you, a real horror fan and I cannot get enough of those so called horror movies. I think that during the early hours Friday/Saturday morning, this is the best time to take in a real chiller! For me it has to be a good horror movie like a zombie flick and a big bag of maltezers to keep me occupied! Andrew

Hi cevcev, thankfully my bag of maltezers was an ordinary bag of maltezers! As regards that movie 'The Stepfather' I have never seen that one. I think that the best time to catch a good horror movie is very late at night then again that's normally when they are shown anyhow. I don't know what my next venture will be terms of horror, I will wait and see! Andrew

Hi Ritchelle, that was one very graphic movie! I don't mind watching it over and over as I never seen to become bored with it. I think that I have watched it three times now! I cannot believe that this actually took place though, really quite shocking and amazing how certain members of the human race will go so low! Oh well, it's time to focus on the next horror flick! texas chainsaw massacre people (behind the cameras) did a good job with the effects in that movie. although i'm not sure with the word good as they did scare the wits out of a lot of people. like me, i'd never watch any movie with a lot of cut up limbs anymore . if many people react like me the people behind that movie would run out of jobs . just kidding...

I was a child of the 80's. First movie I ever went to see was Return of the Jedi. First horror movie? Friday the 13th. I watched it as a gawky pre-teen on a little TV set in my friend mum's den, tucked away at the back of a big, creaky old house. In the dark, though we tried not to show it, we were sweating as some demented sicko carved up some teenagers. And my love of being scared was entrenched.
The years rolled on, and my appreciation of these fine, oft-misunderstood films began to grow expontially. I tried to grab a cross-section at my local video store (the only place I could go at the time, besides the 3 channels on my parents television), I got sci-fi horror, monster movies, zombie flicks and slasher films. Ghosts, vampires, demons, imps, gremlims and mummies. I enjoyed a lot of them, forgot others, and some were downright terrible. Only a scant few were truly terrifying.

Hi again Andrew. I had seen it once. Wow... and it was extremely damaged. It was total psycho. And unbelievable and... do you believe it was existed in Texas? I like horror movies too, but not this one. I think this is the most crazy mind of some writers somewhere. It's not even connected to my mind that there was a village with a family like them. But in the side of imagination it wins an honorable chair. Lol. I like movies like this genre, but without the ghosts inside or haunted places.
No it is not good for your heart. I can sat in a minute on a couch and then in the next minute i already run to the kitchen. Not to get food.
Peeling one's face is not like peeling an apple. That's all what i've got to say. He he...

I heard at the end of the movie that it was based on a true story, that's really quite frightening! Oh well, it will always remain as one of my favourite movies in terms of horror. Andrew

But i also liked that movie, so i watched it. Frankly it is good from the side of the plot, it is rare and i think it's from original idea. I want to make that kind of movie someday. I liked to write things, and from this movie i see it has an art from mixing the suspense, the anti climax, the opening and the closing. Good scriptwriter...

Horror movies are almost always fun to watch, even the bad ones. I dunno, only few of them can scare me and the gore/violence doesn't shock me anymore no matter how explicit it is but I still like horror.

I think that there's a certain truth to that! Once you have seen these movies over and over it seems that nothing shocks you anymore and this is certainly the case with me. I think that it makes for a good Friday night in though, a bag of maltezers and perhaps a can of coke and everything is ticking over merrily! More blood, guts and bones please!Andrew

i didn't watch i just because i don't like kind of movies. i don't want to scare myself. and makes me like a paranoid cause i kinda make me feel someone is going to do that exact same thing i have seen on the movie, so i kinda sort of avoid them altogether cause i don't want to be afraid all the time. i don't know why other people love to watch that kind of thing like to scare themselves and does not seem to be affected in real life cause what they saw in movie will just stay in movie but not to me. cause my imagination is kinda wild.

Well, that certainly makes a lot of sense! Horror movies are not for everyone and I can understand why, some of these movies are extremely graphic and sometimes make you turn away from the screen. Also, I think that's why they don't like young children watching these movies as they are very impressionable at a young age. In the worst case scenario there have been news stories about children carrying out these horrendus acts in real life due to watching some horror movie. I have a kind of wild imagination myself although I like to set it free from time to time by taking in a good horror movie. Andrew

Horror movies don't do anything for me now. My husband hates the fact that I can guess the end of the movie before the end comes. I think horror movies now are only about violence and how much you can put in. There usually isn't a plot to them and if there is it isn't that great.

I'm thinking that's the thing about some of these horror movies, the fact that they are so predictable at times and it's easy to realise how they might end. I think that I have seen enough violence, blood, gore and other things to become used to any new horror movie that comes out now. I guess it no longer starts to have any effect on the senses. Andrew

I also love horror movies. I do not think watching horror movies is bad for your heart. Watching horror movies creates fear and suddenness. These are natural and your heart should be able to take them unless you have any medical condition.
I have seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre and I felt that movie as it had lot of blood and gore. I like this kind of movies. You will love Saw as you like Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Hi Anirus, I haven't seen 'Saw' although I would love to see that movie. I also love those kinds of movies whereby you have a group of youngsters that go away somewhere say a holiday camp, there are a lot of movies like this and I think that 'Friday the 13th' is probably the most popular. I cannot explain my fascination with everthing horror but I can assure you, I'm perfectly sane!Andrew

I love the Texas Chainsaw Massacre both the original and the newer version. I love horror films I think they are great. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of the only horror films that scare me.

I think that this movie was quite gross in places! When the guy was doing his thing and chopping and slicing I really didn't like all those squishy sounds, it almost made me want to turn my face away. Anyway, I don't remember how many times I've seen this movie probably about three times now but I never become too tired of seeing it. Andrew

Horror movies are my favorite ones to watch. I like the edge of the seat excitement they bring. Texas Chainsaw massacre is pretty riveting! The halloween and nightmare on elm street movies are personal favorites. Anything by Stephen King also goes over big.

Yes I remember the Halloween movies and I love all of them. I also love the music that tends to accompany these horror flicks. There are two great movies that I specifically remember and they are 'Demons' and 'Demons 2', very graphic and quite chilling. They are from the 80s if I remember rightly. Anyway, when I watch these movies I allow my imagination to run riot! There's no harm in pure escapism into the world of horror from time to time. Andrew

My favourite type of Horror film is one that affects me on a psychological level, rather than a complete gore-fest.
I feel that too many films of the Horror genre today rely too heavily on blood, guts and flesh. All this viscera, I believe, overwhelms the horror aspect of a film itself, leaving me feeling unscared and unimpressed by the end of it.
For me, it is the type of Horrors such as The Shining, that are filled with tension, suspense and genuine fear, that nail the terror-craving spot for me.

Oh I love that movie 'The Shining'. There wasn't too much blood, guts and gore in this movie but I still class it as a horror classic and I really enjoyed it. I do love some of the older type of horror movies and I wish that a lot of them would return to the tv. Still, when I watch a good horror movie this really helps me to forget about time and I just enter that crazy world for a short spell! Andrew
