When Water Gets Stuck In Your Ear, How Do You Get It Out?

Isn't it annoying when water gets stuck in your ear/s? This usually happens when we go swimming in the beach or pool or just when having shower. To get it out, some people would hop with head bending on the side of the ear where the water is stuck. Others use a suction. What I do though is lie down on the side of the ear where the water is stuck and the water would simply fall out due to gravity. How about you my fellow myLotters? How do you get the water out that is stuck in your ear?

this may sound funny to u guys (hold ur laughter after my comment, pls) but this i actually do (we were taught by our old folks and we had been doing it every time this happens especially in our younger days when we go swimming in the sea):to let water out of my ear, i take a small amount of water and gargle it; let it out into my palm and put it inside the watered ear ... then, i quickly tilt my head in the direction of the watered ear with the matching hop/jump. voila, water comes out of the ear... (might be because the warm gargled water pulls the cold water inside the ear ... (this is the time to laugh but it really works for me... why don't u try it

Hahahahahah! You know what, that's what our old folks used to teach us too when we were younger! And never have I tried it coz I was always afraid that doing it might cause more water to be stucked in the ear. But I guess the warm gargled water that pulls the cold water inside is indeed a scientific explanation on why it always works. I've never tried it though. I was always afraid I won't get it right. LOL.

I would indeed tilt my head to one side. Should help in most cases. Also putting a wad of cotton wool in your ear should help.
