Does Prayer really work?

prayer is a personnal communication to a higher power which most people believe is God. the thought of whether it works or not depends on ones personnal religion and faith.

This is really a good question. A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert like island.The two survivors, not knowing what to do they had no other resource but to pray to God.However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful,they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island. The first thing they prayed for was food. The next morning,the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land,and he was able to eat its fruit. The other man's parcel of land remained barren. After a week,the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife.The next day, another ship was wrecked, and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the land.On the other side of the island,there was nothing. Soon the first man prayed for a house, clothes and more food. The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him.However, the second man still had nothing. Finally, the first man prayed for a ship,so that he and his wife would leave the island.In the morning, he found a ship docked at his side of the island. The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on the island. He considered the other man unworthy to receive since none of his prayers were answered. ”As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice from heaven booming,“Why are you leaving your companion on the island?”“My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who prayed for them,” the first man answered.“His prayers were all unanswered and so he does not deserve anything.“You are mistaken!” the voice rebuked him. “He had only one prayer, which I answered. If not for that, you would not have received any of my blessings.”“Tell me,” The first man asked the voice, “What did he pray for that I should owe him anything?” “He prayed that all your prayers be answered.” It is a great privilege to be an intercessor on behalf of someone else. There are many moments when we think our prayers don't make a difference and so we become lazy in praying for others.Only by praying for one another can we truly be called the Children of God. We are to lift one another up before the Lord and ask for God's blessings and protection to be with those that we love and care for Prayer really works brother. If yo need money pray for those who are devoid of money.If you are sick pray for the one who is sick. God know your needs but he sees your heart whether you are doing his will or not.Read Bible daily and confess the promises with your life and do ask them in prayer I assure you are going to write a testimony here in mylot. What is the meaning of prayer? What is prayer all about? Upon hearing the term prayer, many people think that it means man coming to God to make supplication. Because man is in want and needs material supply, or is sick and needs healing, or has other problems and needs some solution,he goes before God asking Him to supply his needs, heal his sickness and solve his problems.Men consider these as prayers. This is too superficial and lacks both depth and accuracy. Prayer is not just man contacting God; rather it is a mutual contact between man and God. Prayer is the echoing out of God's desire through praying. To accomplish God's plan, God needs man to cooperate with HIm through praying what God's will is.. Therefore, man contact God thru prayer to know God's will and so that He could utter in prayer what is the will of God.

I do believe that prayer works. However, I think many people mistake their relationship with God for some kind of "get out of every uncomfortable situation free" card. God always listens, but we don't always get what we want.

Yes,prayer really works!the old adage that goes: "Prayers can move mountains" is absolutely true.

prayer work when you put it deep inside your heart. and prayer really work when you have a good intention.
