If so do you watch commercials? I never watch live TV anymore. I wait for it to be recorded and then I fest forward through the commercials.

After longing for one for so long, we were finally able to upgrade to a DVR with our satellite provider! I was so excited! I'm absolutely LOVING it! Whereas before, I would worry about my VCR tape being rewound soon enough to catch the recent show or the power going out(no timer with the time being reset, so my shows wouldn't be recorded). Now I don't have to worry about that unless the power goes out and stays out lol!! I love being able to watch my shows whenever I want to without worrying about rewinding a tape! Fast forwarding through commercials is AWESOME. It takes so much less time than fast forwarding on my VCR did! If I happen to catch a glimpse of something that peaks my interest, then I will just rewind back and check it out! We have an internet cap(our internet usage is limited to a specific amount), so the DVR was the perfect choice for us!!!

I don't have Tivo or a dvr, but I watch most network television shows as "on-demand" programming, which have only short commercials at the beginning. My daughter has a dvr with her satellite subscription, and rarely watches live TV.
I'm also watching more and more programs on the Web.
