I used to watch the movie "Gandhi" and read some articles about him. In my view, he was a great man in the history. If he didn't choose the way to fight, he should have had a peaceful and rich life. But he could not tolerate injustice. The colonial authorities took different methods to deal with him, but he didn't revenge on his opponent by violence. He showed the authorities the determination of people, which made the British bear huge moral pressure. And finally he won the 'non-violence' battle. But he refused to be in power, which seperated him from other leaders.

Mohandoss Karamchand Gandhi was a great man. It is a great pity, that the whites did not recogonize him and give him the Nobel peace prize. If there was one person in India, who deserved the Noble Peace Prize, it was Gadhiji, but unfortunately the whites never gave him the honour, instead so many war lords like Anwar Sadat and M.Begin were given the prize. It is a loss to the Noble foundation and not for Gandhi.
Regarding N.S.C.Bose, he was also a great Indian, who struggled for Indian freedom in his own way. Unfortunately the marxist Historians of India, did not write much about him, and his contribution and credit to the Indian Independence was never given fully.

I consider M.K.Gandhi to be one of the leading persons who bought independence to India.I think one cant compare Gandhi with Bhagat Singh and S.C.Bose as their methods are different. Those who advocate a violent struggle for attainment of independence will always be inclined towards Bhagat Singh and S.C.Bose.I feel all three played their own unique role in highlighting India's struggle towards independence.

I think Gandhiji is one of the most leading leaders of the world. He is the only person that had brought the people of entire India under one shade during the struggle and he fought for our independence.I think he is the only leader who succeeded in bringing the entire India together for freedom struggle but there are some negatives if i can say
When the entire India is on one stand we could have attained Independence with a single revolt but Gandhiji never wanted a revolt, that made getting independence more late earlier b4 Gandhiji the leaders couldn't get the people to fight for independence so they chose non violent methods but Gandhiji could have gone for a revolt instead of non violence
Here i need to tell you about non cooperation movement. It was a great success and a total shock to the British. It seemed to all that India's independence was at hand but Gandhiji stopped the movement abruptly because a small group of farmers burned a policestation in a small village and Gandhiji didn't like it and called off a great movement, which almost gave India its independence. If that movement had not been called off India could have got independence in 1922 itself
Anyway because of the method in which India attained its independence it now stands as a unique country and that entire credit goes to the leaders of the country
