I've gained 5 lbs since starting running. Yes running is great exercise but it also makes me HUNGRY!!!!
The best way to lose weight is a combination of exercise and diet. It's very important to get diet under control if you want to lose weight. Though everywhere I read seems to agree that running is one of the top 3 calorie burners there is.

I've noticed running really seems to burn more calories than almost any other activity. I've actually managed to gain weight while running, since I've gained muscle. But now I've leveled off and it seems like I can eat a lot more and still maintain my weight.
