What's the best advise you have given? the best advise given to you?

I've always been a listener but I'm not sure if I've already been given the best advise of my life. How about you? Was the advise effective? did it came from your parents? a friend? or from a total stranger?
And in return, were able to give someone an advise that really helped them get through to whatever they were dealing at that moment?

The best advice I have ever been given is to set your course.......don't worry about what others are doing but keep in you own direction....you can't change what they do...so if they are part of your plan and they are not responding to what you need.....find someone else....just stay on your course...
The best advice I have ever given is to my kids....where money is concerned....It's okay to spend like there's no tomorrow if you know that it will never come....but what if it does..set your spending as if you will need it tomorrow...they all say that it makes them think before buying something saving them alot of money.
