Why only users having rating more than 500 can paste in mylot discussion?

Hi all,
I have a question mylot doesn't allow to paste some contents on their discussions or in reply. I have two questions:
1. Where i can find my rating. what is this 500 rating?
2. Why do mylot don't allow new users to paste?

Well the answer to your first question is you don't have to have a 500 rating to copy and paste, you just need to have 500 posts to copy and paste. Guess what, your post count is exactly 500 so you are now able to copy and paste! =) If it doesn't work straight away, sign out and then in again, and if still not, give it a couple of hours. But it should already work.
The reason mylot can not activate this feature to all members once they join is because of SPAMMERS. People will create multiple accounts and spam mylot, and just copy and paste. When you have 500 posts, it's kind of different, cause you won't really go to all the effort to make 500 posts just to do a dumb spam thing.

true... some would join mylot to spam other mylot members..that rule is meant to avoid such form happening,..so you have to be active in mylot and earn the copy/paste feature..by the time you made 500 posts..mylot is pretty sure you are here for some other reasons aside form spamming.

Guess it is a benefit for thoese who hard work hard in mylot lol a small prilvedge given to thoese old members yea .
