Ooh no it is hard to name 20 all rounders at a time but still I will try to name the players who I think are best.. 1)Sir Richard Hadlee (The first bowler to cross 400 plus wickets in test cricket in very few matches.. I like his batting as well..) 2)Garfield Sobers (Recently seen classic matches where Sobers batted so well that bowlers have no clue to get him out. He is great fielder and bowlers as well.) 3)Kapil Dev (Kapil helped India to win the World Cup 1983 against the might West Indies and he is the best all roudner that India had ever produced in both Tests and ODI formats..) 4)Ian Botham (Botham is the best all rounder that England had ever produced and now England is struggling to find a all rounder like him.) 5)Wasim Akram (Akram is best bowler who can use the yorker and bouncer very deadly. I cannot forget his test knock where he scored a big double hundred against the Australia.) 6)Imran Khan (Khan helped the Paksitan team to win the World Cup 1992 and he is best swing bowler during his playing days. His batting too was very aggressive in nature..) 7)Steve Waugh (When Steve started his career he wsas more known as bowler than batsman but later in his career he become an exciting batman and helped Australia win the World Cup 1999) 8)Richie Benaurd (He was best all rounder from Australia in 1960's and presently he is the best commentator on Channel 9.) 9)Jacques Kallis (Presently he is the best all rounder who is playing.. ) 10)Allan Border (Border is the legendary captain and best all rounder during his playing days and he was the second player to score 10000 plus runs after Sunil Gavaskar.) 11)Shane Warne (Warnie is more known for his bowling then batting but he played very crucial batting innings for Australia which helped the Aussies win the test matches.) 12)Clive Rice (He is one of the best all rounders that South Africa had ever produced..) 13)Daniel Vettori (Vettori is my favorite all rounder presently, I like the way he bowls and his batting too had improved a lot.) 14)Chris Cairns (Chris is known for his big hitting in both tests and ODI's. I like his innings in Australia where he hampered the good bowling attack of Australia. New Zealand created history by winning the test series..) 15)Malcolm Marshall (He is the one of fast bowlers that West Indies ever produced but later he developed his batting and become an All rounder..) 16)Andrew Flintoff (Presently best all rounder for England..) 17)Anil Kumble (Kumble started his career as spinner bowler but later in his career became good batsman..) 18)Shaun Pollock (Pollock is the best all rounder who along with Kallis had made South Africa very good cricket nation. His bowling is very consistent and his batting improved and improved during end of his career.) 19)V Mankad (He is the legendary all rounder for India during his days..) 20)Intikab Alam (He is best all rounder for Pakistan during his days.) I have more names but these are few players I have seen playing, so named them. There might be even great players who I might not have named. Excuse me for that.. 19)

Out of your list my favorite player is Chris Cranes and Jayasuriya. I like Kallis in Tests and Shaun Pollock too in tests, both are outstanding players in test cricket..

Well Flintoff is not great batsman in my view, he is good bowler but not a batsman. what do you say?? In batting wise, Kallis is much better player and Jayasuriya and others..

well friend, Ajay Jadeja and Jonty Rhodes are not known as all rounders. They are good batsmen with great fielding skills. Sachin too cannot be said as All rounder and Adam Gilchrist is a wicket keeper not an All rounder again. Kapil Dev is legendary all rounder and Viv Richards was great batsman but he is not an all rounder, he use to bowl occassionally. Anyhow thanks for your views...

Would say from an english persepctive it would have to be Ian Botham. A man who could win games with bat or ball, and sometimes both in the same game.

Yeah Ian Botham is best all rounder that England ever produced and I doubt England will ever find such an all rounder in coming days.

All the players you have named are outstanding all rounders ever produced and they are the ever green best players. I admire Hadlee, Kapil, Botham more than others because I have seen them playing. I did not see Sobers in action, so cannot much comment on him.. thanks for your response..

I accept Shaun pollock but the others were great batsmen who could bowl reasonably well but were not great bowlers.
