What do you do when you are emotionally down?

I had a very terrible experience sometime back and it still affects me emotionally. i am damn drained emotionally and i dont even see the purpose of living in the first place. I don't know how to handly my emotional breakdown in most cases i simply break down in the middle of the city streets. I was working to work this one morning i broke down and literally wept, i could not control it, it was so powerful and first that it cought me wrong footed. I only realized afterwards that my mind was so engaged with alot of thinking. How do you handle emotional breakdown? what can help one to overcome deep emotional torture?

I think cycling home after a stressful meeting helped me a great deal. The information had been so draining and I wanted to feel relaxed when I got home. I think reading a book can be uplifting. I know that going for a long walk and seeing a beautiful landscape can be really lovely. It can be helpful to write down three wishes for the future and to feel positive about those. It can be valuable to forget the past and to concentrate on the present which is a gift. The future is a mystery so that is exciting. Good luck.

When I'm emotionally down I gets angry all the time. I don't want to talk to someone. I watch movie or listen to the music to makes me feel better. I try to be positive but sometimes I'm easily give up. Sometimes it is hard to overcome our problems but we need to believe in God that we can surpass all of it.

when i'm emotionally down,,the first thing i resort to is eat! it does make me feel a whole lot better...... i'm not like others who starve themselves when they are upset..h*ll why would I? LOLZ!

i have been doing that for a couple of years now that was why i gained so much weight and now i am planning to cut down on pounds cause i don't look as healthy as i used to. anyways, i think it is not also a good solution but not that bad compared doing yourself harm but still we have to find other solutions in the long run. i am working on new solution or new way to deal with my emotion. from time to time i do suffer emotional problems.

yeah.. i did gain some weight ..it isnt that much...but i know it'll be hard to get rid of it.... have to avoid being upset.....

it seems like you have a big problem, i understand your feeling because I am too I feel depressed right now due to a lot of problems. I always try to be positive so thatmy sadness would be lessen and i seek counseling from the person i trust.

When i was emotionally down, I will stay alone and burst into tears. After crying so much I'll be better. You can have a try. Also you can share your feeling to your best friend, maybe he/she can help. I wish you'll buck up soon!

hello staraevp! well this is the kind of phrase which all of us has to pass through some day or the other.i am really feeling bad for you. well i can suggest you something ,whether you do it or not its totally up to you. you need to engage yourself most of the time.try to work on your hobbies and your interests.try to mingle with your friends ,near and dear ones ,talk with them, hang out with them and try to indulge with them most of the time. have your mind freshen up by having a small trip to some place for few days. this a perfect time to learn and adopt new skills and learning that you want to learn about. spend time with others and try to laugh your laugh out. avoid staying alone most of the time .engrossed your mind with what to do and how to do.stop thinking of the bad part ,think of the good memories.last but not the least you can meditate whenever you want.this will help you keep your mind calm and fresh. all the best take care.

you have to start doing what u enjoy though it might be a bit difficult for you to do buh try. if its hanging up with friends, swimming, going to the cinema or anything that u love doing , try and engage yourslf with such and u'll not be weigh down as such.

i had that kind of break down before. it was tough considering i had no one around me to comfort me or give me strength. and what is really so sad is to learn those few people that turn up in my place had really bad emotional problem as much worse and i would be better without them cause they are so negative and that it will not help if i do associate with them as they are of worse case . it is not that they have more emotional problem that turns me off but their attitude in life. they are more into giving up in life. though i have many emotional problem i don't trash like giving up in life and saying scary things that the world is going to soon etc. so what i did i cut off my relationship with them. i think they are not healthy psychologically too. cause they are imagining things already. they are obsessed of the world talk or stories. though i had breakdown i can still live normally.

If I have major breakdown, I will find a way to vent it. I don't involve others so I might do some planting outside. I am not good at hoe and such but swinging them down really vent out my negative emotions at that time. I will find someone that I really trust to talk with. That person doesn't have to give me advice but listening is good enough. Since your problem is so deep right now, it's good to do this. That person might also be able to help you out.

When I am emotionally down I usually walk slowly tomake my emotion quite ,whiletime I will sing my bothers out !Until nown I never give up this method because it's useful,at least to me!

Well this morning i got blamed by my lecturer. When he teach i just sleep in the class then he mad with me and asks me lot of questions. When the class was over my emotionally mood perfectly down. I walk trough the hall with unsteady step, i really didn't interesting to do anything that time. I think my life in this class will be over. The first think that i do is share my feeling with my college friend. For me, tell your friend about your problems mean that you have remove 50% of your weight problems. Then i went out to calm down myself, away from the crowded. Then i cheers myself with hear the music

usually, i try to refresh my mind. the only things i do are playing video games, watching tv, listening to music or go to some places to calm me down.
