Are cartoon characters and children programmes more boring these days?

I'm an adult but a huge fan of cartoons. I find the modern day cartoons all rather similar and lacking in character. What about you? Which one was your favourite? Personally I enjoyed Pigeon Street, Inspector Gadget, Inch Eye Private Eye, Batman and the original Mickey Mouse/ Goofy/Pluto gang. Pigeon Street had some awesome funky music - check it out on youtube! Is there a cartoon that was made in your country and is special to you?

i am an adult too but still i watch "tom and jerry" i just love it but i think it's stating to get boring now because they never show new episodes any more. i have seen every show of tom and jerry and when ever i watch it, i have watched that episode sometime. i think they should make some new episodes so that i don't get bored of that cartoon. seriously i just love it :)

i have alot of great cartoons that i still love and watch , theyre all over the interent now on youtube ish sites , thats all great for my comfort but i think all of the TV stations should revert to thier old programing , why should i have to pay extra on the cable bill for Looney Toons ?? when back then it came on TNT , and TBS and alot of other channels , ..they only now carry two saturday morning cartoon schedules , and thats ABC , and CW networks!! back then every station had a line up on saturday ...smh what is the world coming to? Corny knock off shows that have no meaning ...
