Hi! This summer vacation, I travelled throw 4 different countries. I went first in New Zealand for 3 weeks, it was very safe and I did not feel alone because all the people I met was very friendly and I really enjoyed it! After, I went 3 days in Bangkok. But there, I did not feel safe etc... and I was a little bit afraid to go there alone because of the country. And it was the same in the others countries. Finally I think that the first time you travel alone could be scary before going somewhere alone but finally when you begin to travel alone, you feel so free that you forget everything and enjoy where you are and even alone!

Well, yeah, I have travelled many times in the past on my own and am still not really comfortable with it. I wouldn't call it fear though. It's more like a huge state of anxiety about relating to strangers and coming across as sort of lost. I don't like to give that people that impression. So what I do is to try to get some people to befriend from those countries before making the actual trip.

I went around Europe by train on my own when I was 18 years old. I stayed in youth hostels and met other travelers to chat to. At age 20 I traveled around the world, alone after my first stop, Los Angeles. I wasn't at all afraid. I did get a sickness with fever in Asia and even though I was alone people helped me. Sadly it was in the Maldives when I was walking along a lonely beach that I got attacked. These days I travel with my young children.

I used to be afraid in my school days to travel alone. Now, with lots of experience in traveling in the country and overseas, I don't feel afraid any more. Instead, I enjoy traveling alone or with a group. I have been to countries in different parts of the world. Always so interesting to meet with people of different cultures and learn about the cultures !

my first travel abroad I was travelling alone.. cause my mom and little brother flew the day before.. I had problems with immigration, they wouldn't let me pass because the woman said I maybe just for human trafficking or something cause I was travelling alone.. I was near to tears cause I really didn't know what to do.. I surveyed the floor, and saw that there was one immigration officer, and old guy, who seems to be nice, and can be swayed with a smile.. then I fell in line in his booth, and then when it was my turn, I smiled at him, gave him my docs, and then he let me pass. hehehehe.. but that was one experience I would never forget, after that, it seems that my feelings towards immigration has not changed, I'm still afraid that they would deny me or something even though it never happened after my first time.
