Referral are great............except when they aren't active

I'm sure a lot of people can find referrals. I find the trickiest part of referrals is getting active referrals. For example, on IMReportCard I have 12 referrals but none of them are active. It is very disappointing!
I've thought about running some sort of incentive program thing where if someone signs up under my IMreportcard referral link and gets x amount credits I pay them x amount money. Then on Cashcrate, if someone earns x amount of dollars I will pay them x amount money. I have no idea if anyone would participate in this though. Maybe someday I'll try!
In the meantime, I hope I get more ACTIVE referrals!!

I am not the person who can get referrals. I have very few referrals on my programs. I have one in imreportcard and 5 in mylot but all of them are inactive. I think it is best to pay the referrals some money back to keep them acive. Like if I earn $1 because of my referrals I guess it is good to return them say $.5 out of it. This way they will have extra benefit to join and remain active.

It is very hard to get referrals. I submitted by blog to a couple of traffic exchanges and found I got a few referrals that way. It's not a lot of referrals but its better than on.

Even I am trying to write a decent blog to get some referrals. I guess this is a good way to get referrals. Lets hope we can get good number of referrals in our programs.

Same boat here. Twenty refs and only four active. Fifteen refs on mylot, guess how many active? Hah, NONE of them!!!! I have learned not to count on referrals. I too offer incentives but they dont even bother with that. I thought that was you on the top referrals list on IM. Congrats!!!

Right, you can't count on referrals to earn money. I wasn't aware I was on the top referrals list. I just checked and I'm not on there at the moment. But that's cool that I was for a least a little while :) Thanks for letting me know :)
I think the thing with incentives is that people just don't trust people to get paid or get whatever incentive it is. There are too many scammers out there and so people don't even want to risk getting scammed - which is understandable.

You are right active referrals are the trick, I am a member of IMReport card for about a week and i have only been able to find one thing that i was able to commit on. It is not that i do not want to be active it is just that all the programs that i know anything about are closed, It is a hard program to work.

I join the free traffic exchanges and comment on them. Also, under the people section, some of the people offer free e-books or newsletters. I sign up at their websites and comment on the person after I read the books or newsletters. I'll mention if the person knows what he or she is talking about and other stuff like that.

Active referrals are very hard to find. I remember my old account having more than 10 referrals but only a few were active. then it became just one, then nothing. but one of my former referrals comes back once in a while and still do mylot checking but not active. for me now, I enjoy the site, with no referrals because am earning a lot more than am supposed to.

You are absolutely right. I always believe that it is better to earn 1% from the effort of 100 people than 100% from your own effort. However, sometimes your referrals tend to be inactive so you must figure out a way to urge them to be active. Motivate them by telling them why they should be active. If it takes for you to disclose to them your earnings, then do so.

Hi there, well having referrals is really good thing because it will helps you to earn more money in a particular site. But the problem is when your referral is not active so i dont put my referrals as my asset in a site instead I still work for my own so i will not be disappointed at the end. And if they are actively participating then i am surely happy for that, keep on myloting
