Who is the carrier for your cell phone?

I was wondering which carrier you use for your cell phone. I use sprint/Motorola. I hate Sprint. I got suckered in to a 2 year contract when Sprint and Motorola merged and got terrible reception and was unable to break the contract without a 200 dollar penalty. What carrier do you use? Are you happy with them? Would you renew your contract with them or switch?

I am currently in Egypt and I use prepaid and that's the only thing I can use because I'm resident in the country. I'm not sure how many mobile/cellphone carrier they have here, but they have Vodafone, Etizalat and Zain, and the one I'm using is Mobinil and I'm quite happy with it and normally renew it every 6 months. I have been using Mobinil for almost 2 years and I only have one experience not having any reception, but it only lasts for few hours.

I was actually considering getting a prepaid phone to help keep my costs down. Would you recommend that?

I never knew that we call our phone providers as carriers. Anyway, i use Nokia and LG as my phone. Nokia is more reliable than LG in terms of the quality and affordability. While LG's battery lasts longer than Nokia. Usually, Nokia phones have problems with their battery but the rest is in good shape even after it fell in the toilet.

I think you are slightly confused. A cell phone carrier is the company whose service you use such as Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint. These are the main players in the US. Phone makers include, Nokia, LG, and Samsung just to name a few. I hope this helps. By the way, Nokia is considered the best phone everywhere, but in the US. That is mainly because not enough Americans are aware of Nokia.

I had an ericsson as my first cell phones before they got popular. It was not good by any means. I am sure they are much better in this day and age.

My carrier is Verizon Wirelesss, and I have been with them since June 2008. I was with t-mobile before that, but I didn't iike them as well, as I just kept getting dropped calls and couldn't seem to call or talk inside buildings, where with Verizon I can, and Verizon has a larger calling area. Verizon is higher per month, but the service is much better and I think that is very important. Have a good day, and happy mylotting.

I am actually going back and forth between t-mobile and Verizon for the exact reasons you mentioned above. I think I will ultimately go with Verizon even though it is more expensive since it has better service and coverage. Also, everyone seems to have it and I feel that must speak for something and mean it is good stuff.

I was doing research a few months ago regarding the best US carriers. AT&T was not listed as a company with good customer service actually. They all said t-mobile and Verizon are the best in terms of customer service with t-mobile being the best even though Verizon is the most popular.

I use Verizon and haven't had any problems with them. The coverage seems the most consistent anywhere I've traveled. They do cost a little bit more, not enough to make a difference. Their phone selection is great and anytime I've had a problem they've replaced the phone no problem. I've only had to exchange phones twice, the first was my fault, my phone got wet when a bottle of water opened in my purse and the second the phone was defective.

It is good to hear that Verizon will replace phones to keep their customers happy. It demonstrates that they care about your business.

I'm with Verizon and have been with them for years. I like the service and I usually have service everywhere I go. I haven't found a place yet where I haven't had service. We have a family plan with them. I'm very pleased with them and plan to stay with them for a while. I would renew my contract with them...in fact I have several times. I don't think you should have to pay the $200 penalty fee to break a contract if the company merges and you don't like the new company...do you? That's just crazy. You didn't ask to be with that company in the first place and you can't help that they merged. Sorry you have to be with a company that you hate.
