I sleep around 10 PM. Sleep comes to me within about 15 minutes. I am told that I do not change positions frequently and sleep like a log. If for some reason I am unable to sleep by 11 PM, I somehow stay awake till 3 AM. I generally sleep on my left side.

I wake up everyday at 5 AM and work out for an hour. After about 12 hours at a construction site (Including travel) I have no energy for anything except sleep.

Hi Killersss,
I have found that since joining mylot I have been able to sleep easier than I could before. These days I tend to stay here until I am about ready to fall asleep at the keyboard, and so when I crawl into bed I just sleep regardless of positioning because I am so tired lol.
In the past I generally used to have to sleep curled up on one side to be comfortable enough to fall asleep, either that or on my back. I can never sleep on my front though, it feels too odd! I think it used to take me anywhere between 30 mins to an hour as well depending on how tired I was at the end of the day .
All the best,
Dranz

hey,
i do take a lil time before sleeping. and comfort does matter. even if i washed my hands and feet before going to bed and my they feel dry, i wont be able to sleep until i put some lotion on them. then i cant sleep in just any position. if i was reading a while before sleeping, lying on my right side, i wud have to switch over to my left. and i dont sleep in the same position all night.
sweet dreams...

Hello, I never go to bed before I feel
very sleepy. If I go to bed before feeling sleepy
my sleep vanishes and I will be just turning sides.
Hence I prefer to do some work till I get tired and ready
to slep. So usually I go to sleep a little after midnight
Have a nice day

Most people's sleep cycle is about 90 minutes so try to sleep in multiples of that - you may find it much easier to get up after 3 hours than after 4, after 4 hrs 30 mins than after 5 hours etc.
Coffee stops working after a while. You can put a pot of espresso in front of me and I'll drink it and go to bed immediately and I will sleep. You will find that you get used to being tired, to having a bit of a dull headache etc. Peak performance is indeed redefined - you are happy to just get by a lot of the time.

I go to bed between midnight and 12:30 am. I usually sleep on my side and go to sleep within a half hour after going to bed.

Well, for me,i need change different position and get to sleep also, not becuase I'd like to,but because I feel tired to keep in just one position, and it won;t make me asleep, but I can tell you that I used to get to sleep with the position of ninzgutgqngq as it make me feel more confortable. While, things become totally defferent if I get vevy tired or get drunk before I get to sleep,in this case,i can get to sleep very very soon, especially, when i get drunk,I even did not remember everything I have done in the next morning.

Usually, I will fall asleep quickly after going to bed. If I cann't sleep, I will listen to some peaceful music. It helps me to fall asleep quickly. I think it is a good way.

I usually end up sleeping on my side, but it takes me a long time to go to sleep and now I just go to bed later, because if I try and go earlier I actually stay awake longer, I have found.
I wonder if we all do have a default position we always go back to? When I was a baby I was adopted and on the info that came with me there was a note saying I liked to sleep on my right side, which is the same now, which was interesting.

This applies for me too. No matter how much I toss and turn, I can only fall asleep if I'm laying on the right side of my body. And if I happen to doze off uncontrollably, I'll still wake up positioned on my right.

I take a long time in going to sleep, since my head's always buzzing around with ideas, even before going to bed. I usually start facing the ceiling, then go on my side. It's rare that I ever face the pillow and lie on my stomach. Possibly because I can't breathe well like that. Last night I'm pretty sure I had insomnia, so it took me many many hours to sleep. I slept at 3am and woke up at 6am. Strangely enough, I'm not tired right now.

hi there killerss,
Actually, I don't find it hard to fall asleep especially when I'm tired. But I usually sleep on my side and I find it to be the most comfortable position and I can breath freely when I sleep on my sides.

I am so turned around with my sleep. I try to go to bed on time and never make it. Then I have to get up early am and feel so sluggish. I feel better as the day goes on therefor staying up late again. The thing is, I am exhausted when I do lay down and I am out the minute I close my eyes.
I read somewhere the average time it takes a person to get to sleep is 7 minutes.

My routine follows:
-Brush teeth at 10PM
-Turn on Laptop and Browse Web until 12PM
-Listen to tunes on Mobile until I fall asleep (can't sleep unless I have music in my ears)
-Wake up at 6:30AM to start another wonderful day

right after taking a relaxing bath, i lie down in bed directly. it usually takes me about 5 positional changes before i finally fall asleep. hehe comfort and relaxation are important for a good night's sleep :)
