can appreciate the fact that may good people lost their lives on that day due to an unnecessary tragedy. However, I'm not sure if going through all of these excessive celebrations allows people to heal and move on in life like they need to.
I talked with many loved ones and we all agree that if someone in my family lost their life in a tragedy, they would not want the others to forget them but they also would not want people to feel obligated to celebrate the event every year.
Commemorating the death of loved ones in this way seem to place more of a burden on the living, instead of allowing them to embrace the good things to come in life without feeling the pain of losing their loved ones in an orchestrated mass ceremony.
I am not suggesting that we forget them or not honor their memory but I wonder if everyone should do this in their own private way without lengthening the ceremonies.
God bless those who died and the living who carry the burden of 9/11.
Please share.
