How do you like to enjoy the rain?

I am usually in the computer room watching out the window. Sometimes I go to the front door and open it just to watch or stand outside under the overhang on our house so I stay dry. If there is a major storm going on, I stay inside. It is relaxing to watch the drops fall on the driveway or hear the steady beat of the rain hitting the roof of the house.

I am in my best mood when it rains. There's just a special magic in the coolness and dampness of rain that can take away all my sadness. They said rain is associated with sorrow, but to me it brings freshness and newness. It's perfectly like life. Sometimes something in our lives started to crumble,darken, and then lash out. But the aftermath is peace, serenity and freshness.Just like rain. After the heavy downpour is a comforting silence. Like everything is new again,the things around you are more vibrant. I just totally love the rain.

Yes, there are times that sitting by a window just watching a heavy rain storm, is quite relaxing and even invigorating - because I know that I am not going to get wet. Sometimes, even walking in the rain, is sort of calming also. I think the rhythm of falling rain can be quite hypnotic at times. - Derek

I love pulling the bedsheets up to my chin in bed at night and listening to the rain pelting off the windows. the heavier the rain the better!!

Hi bala, it sounds lovely to be able to snuggle when it rains but I have two dogs so they have to go out plus more often than not I have to pop down the village hopefully if the rain stops...so really it is hard for me to stay in whilst it rains outside...LoLo

Hi Balasri, This reminded me of how I spent my last day last year (2008). Right after I stepped out from the office, it rained. I let the rain soaked my body. I let it wash away my emotional distress at taht time. I am more grateful that people saw my wet face because of rain and not because of tears. As I rode a cab, it still brought music to my ears as the rain drops from the wind shield and windows of the cab. Somehow, I knew deep down that rain is my friend...

It has been raining here in my country 4 days now... and all i want to do is lay in bed and sleep... that is how i enjoy rain the most... because of the cold weather... sleep would be the best way to go through the day... but sad to say... i need to work... so i can't really enjoy the rain like the way i want to...

hello balasri, it's nice to sleep when it is raining. i can sleep pretty soon and have a longer sleep too because of the sound of it and the it's colder. don't like to go anywhere when it is raining. when the kids are around or the whole family, we enjoy playing board games. we do play when there is nothing to watch.

Hello balasri. I enjoy the rain by sitting next to the window watching and listening to it knocking at the window. It is some of enjoyment, but I don't like to enjoy it outside in the rain for my not liking to get wet in the rain. Rain makes me feel nice and calm. I love it when it is time to sleep. With the sound of rain, I seem to sleep better.

after a long time of sunshine, we are very expect a rain, so when the rain coming, we will standing outside and watching it, because it is very cool and we would feel that the rain is a gift present by GOD, and we could be sleeping very well. but, during a long days of rainning,i don't dislike the rain, feel very awful,the road was very wet,and everything is uncomfortable.good luck and have a nice day.

The best way to enjoy rain is to cover yourself with a blanket and have a good slumber. Once the nap is over have some snacks with a hot cup of coffee while the enjoying the raindrops falling. I don't like to be drenched in the rain so do not wish to go out.

Yes,I love the rain pretty much also,just sitting by the window as looking at all the falls,it is as if they are washing away all the bad luck from inside of meself and make me become stronger and help me think further in my mind.And you know,everything is changing to a new look also with the rain,the air is fresh,the birds are coming back,trees and glass sells good and you will find yourself is into a romantic world of Disney.

I hate rain. I thoroughly hate it. Even though there's a ... small comfort in knowing that you can stay home while outside is pouring cats and dogs, while you're there in your pajamas and wrapped in a robe, enjoying the warmth and comfort of your house, it still annoys me to see the landscape get all wet... especially if I know I'll have to eventually leave house and risk slipping.

how i enjoy the rain: 1. go outside and dance/play/sing 2. go play with the dog outside 3. sit by the window and drink coffee 4. read a book on the couch until i fall asleep 5. eat icecream 6. sleep, sleep, sleep 7. dvd marathons :)

I love to sit watching the rain - provided that I am indoors! I especially love the rain in your part of the world. I have spent many a 15 minutes or so just listening to the strong, heavy rain as it beats down on roofs and roads. The storm drains fill rapidly and for the briefest time it's like some crazy Venice! Happy memories. Thanks for that. It's made me feel very mellow and calm.

I love the rain when I'm snuggled up inside and don't have to go out in it - especially at night, and when I can hear it on the tin verandah roof. Not too keen when I have loads of washing hanging out in it, though.

Hey balasri! I like to experience the rain in all the ways that you have described acutally! I don't drink coffee so I would switch that to hot tea and gazing out the window watching the rain streaming down on a cool fall day! I also like to watch the rain from a doorway pouring down and if it is in the summer then I just might step right out into it and let myself get drenched to cool off, providing that I am near my home and don't have to go somewhere of importance. I happen to love the rain, especially thunderstorms if I can enjoy them from inside my home! I find them fascinating to watch!

I'd love to open the windows and stay in bed all day..lol. That's not an option for me though unless it's on the weekend. I have enjoyed being out in it if it's warm outside. I used to love to play in the rain when I was little.

Definitely with coffee! I too like to enjoy the rain by just sitting and watching. I also love to sleep with the cold weather. Its just so comfortable! I would not be disturbed by the thunder though. I feel calm and relax when it rains, except when I am about to go out to school or with my friends.
