Now that the weekend is through, have you done what you planned to do?

Saturdays and Sundays is probably what most people await. Whenever it’s Friday we just get excited and sometimes would murmur “thank God it’s Friday”, meaning; finally, we can take some rest or we will be having the time to do things we can’t do during weekdays.
Weekends is always time for me to do cleaning, the washing of clothes, the dogs’ bath and to do other stuffs such as sewing buttons and patching up holes or sewing hems on clothes. It’s also the dogs’ schedule to go the park and somehow they always know its weekends and it’s off to the park we will go.
Here in the Philippines the weekend was extended for another day. Government has declared today, Monday, a holiday and so I had more time to organize the clothes on my closet. I also took the opportunity to bring my television to a service center and have it fixed. It’s not the time to rest for me during weekends. Usually, there’s nothing to look forward to for me when weekend is coming, but to do chores that needs to be done.
What about you guys? What do you look forward to every weekends or holidays?

Yes its labor day I love this day because we start vacation tomorrow.
When all the kids will be back at school. Can't wait, Any other Monday, would stink! I miss my hubby all week as he is busy with work. My favorite times are weekends and holidays except for Christmas, this is just another reason you have to spend money.I normally don't mind but am feeling like we should keep all we have just in case.I hear all over the economy is getting better but read the paper this morning ,it said half of US is still out of work. This is not a rising economy to me. Sorry for getting off subject there. Have a great Labor day!

Oh so you're also celebrating labor day! So hubby is home cause it's labor day?
I look forward to holidays especially Christmas seasons cause its the time where I have a long days of vacation. Everyone gets weeks of rests during Holiday seasons and its a time for family get togetherness.
But I do get problematic at times cause no matter how hard I try to hide from my godchildren, I can't escape them. Not that, I don't want to buy them gifts but as you said, we all need to save right now.

It's labor day here in the USA so maybe the Phillippines have decided to adapt this as well. For myself as of yet there's not much to do. My fiance and I don't have our own house yet, and I don't have a job yet. So while he is at work I do the things that need to be done, whether that be on the weekend or not.
Growing up the weekend, or friday's atleast, was a day for the entire family to get together and have fun. Whether it be a holiday or birthday, or even nothing at all, every Friday we would get together at my grandmother's house to have fun, play games, and eat Pizza and Chinese. We don't do that anymore, we hardly celebrate holiday's on my side of the family!
Well I hope your having a good weekend regardless of all the chores, and get some rest before going in to work on Tuesday! Just think, only four days of work!

Hello,
I always looking forward to this weekend but this weekend I have to work and can't complain about it cuz this is my job. However, I have to learn how to enjoy my work... so I won't get bored very easy.
Actually, everytime I know it is Friday... I was like .... YEs, this is it... hahahah... but I didn't off last week. That's too bad

Weekends for me means I have to go to work.
I only work one day in the week. In a Pub.
That is on Saturday, then on Sunday I clean up the house.
Through the week I give my back a rest, and if all goes well, then I just
play housewife, hahaha! Everything depends on my pains in my back or (and) how much money we have left.
Hopefully things will change for the better real soon.
I hate these money problems.

In the first couple of months it was nice to be able to rest. I used to work all the time. Shifts and always doing something. Because of my back, I am disabled. Cannot do much anymore.
I would rather be healthy, and work the week, than just working one day.
I get half the money I used to get, cannot pay my creditcards off. Just yesterday they closed my Dutch bank account in Holland. I am in big trouble.
I am lucky to be living in Berlin. Here the medical cost still get paid for you. In Holland that has changed, you have to pay ahead, and hope to get some back at the end of the year.
So, I am still better off here.
I don't think the dutch police will come to Berlin to pick me up for prison.
But, it is possible. When you can't pay your bills, there will be a jail sentence.
I will have to wait and see. My credit cards were in Holland.
Hopefully they have internet in jail. I can still do MY LOT
Being home to much gives a person to much time to think. After a while you start thinking too much and too negative. That is not good.

There's no regular thing or occassion or anything that I look forward in a weekend. There are just some things that comes in an instance if there is no office woek, things like doing something with my bike or changing the aquarium water or anything that will keep me busy. Aside from mylotting, that I did this weekend, i do some repairs to my bike, the lights and accelerator controlled. Today, we expected some visitors, we clean the house and changed curtains, unfortunately they didn't come because of the rain.

Oh so you're not making schedules for weekends. How about going out with the wife and kids?
I also don't make schedules when weekdays have been declared holidays. I just try to think of things to do to also occupy my mind. Like organizing my clothes in the closet. Its just something that popped out my mind.

I enjoyed my sunday to the fullest. Sunday is like a festival day. A total fun filled day for the entire family. There were guests despite heavy rain and so it was rocking all the time with varieties of delicious foods. Even the guests too joined in helping out in the kitchen. I wished it never ended.

Hi iskayz
I am usually busier in a different way at weekends. During the week I am governed by time and have to be in a certain place at a certain time and get light housework done. At weekends I can stuck into something that will take more time, like painting as of late. My boys play rugby on a Sunday morning so the afternoon is usually a little bit more relaxed, but Saturdays is more often than not a very productive day around the house. Next month I am hoping to get the boys back to the swimming pool!

I do look forward to them. Sometimes I feel like I'm wishing my life away but I love my weekends and holidays. I went to Indiana for my long weekend here. My b/f's family lives there so we visit whenever we can. They have a very secluded home with a pond and a lake on their property that we do fishing and paddle boating at. It's relaxing to go. Just get away for a while.

Saturday is the day I wash clothes so my husband will have clean ones for when he goes back to work on Monday. Then we might clean the garage, cut the grass and just sit around and watch some TV together. I usually do my house cleaning during the week as I do not work.

I am also excited on weekends since usually its family time for me my wife and my child. But the great thing about this weekend is that all of us went to an island. I and my wife had a scheduled scuba diving class and we went to an island on board a pump boat. It was our third session for the scuba diving but during the first and second session was at the swimming pool. So it was really a great weekend for us. The plan was carried out and we learned, enjoyed and had a great weekend family time with an overnight stay in an island.

Oh, tomorrow is a working day for me. Today is a public holiday for certain states in Malaysia. How i dread tomorrow too.. lol....yes, i m also looking forward to fridays, but i know time will pass very fast. If I am not working, it will be worse, firstly no money coming in and secondly, i think i be bored at home too. When it comes to weekends, i like to relax at home, i only go out when necessary. Well, whatever day it is, I just wish for each day will be blessed with goodness and His grace.

Well, yesterday, I got a couple of friends to go out on the beach. We got a tan and went surfing afterwards. Today, I have a wedding to go to. I'm attending my friend's wedding and I've known him since high school so its been a long friendship. I always look foward to the weekends. Those are the days where I can relax because I have no work. I go out a lot for my age but I love living the life as a teenager again. I have messed up on my teenage years and I am sort of trying to live it back up now. Anyways, this weekend is going to be fun and Labor Day is here also in the USA! For whoever is reading this, have a good weekend!
