Hi everyone, Have you all noticed that mostly all Indian female names end with a vowel- either an A E I O or U. I just conducted a survey on this with all the females whom I am familiar with and most of them have this peculiar similarity. There are exceptions no doubt. But a maximum number of them have this.
Do you also have something like this in common in your country? Please be free to share.

I just started a discussion regarding names and found that you have started one on the similar topic. I don't really think there is something liks starting with vowel.... when it comes to Indian names. I felt that mnay people in India has names starting with 'S'. In my school, maximum number of students had their name starting with S.

Thanks for your immediate response, I did not mention starting with a vowel. I had mentioned ending with a vowel. Like Radha, Divya, Geeta, Rani, Meera, Surabhi and so on.

Most of names based on the ancient language do end in a vowel. Male name or female name. However modern linguistic trends are distorting this rule to give a consonant ending to a name,as in Raj for Raja.
