I remember hen i was a kid, I always wanted to be a pilot. My grandfather was a pilot and he served in World War 2, maybe because of listening his stories as i grew up, I always dreamt of wanting to being a cockpit flying a plane. -shakes fantasies off- Anyway, 1: What did you wanted to be when you were a kid, and what are you doing now ?? I know most of us do not get to live our dreams, it would be interesting seeing if someone actually is doing what they always wanted to do ?? 2: Will you ever later in life when you get a bit free-er, try doing what you wanted to do but could not ??

I've always wanted to be a musician and singer. And when I started writing in ninth grade my dream expanded. I am on my way to trying to fulfill these dreams. And I'm not doing that bad at it either. I do have to give all the credit for my gifts to my God who gave them to me to change this world. God Bless.

I wanted to be a veterinarian or an artist. Today I am an artist/entertainer. Not exactly what I had in mind back then, but it works for me!

Oh an artist. You can still try doing that when you get a bit of free time right ?? Anyway, I am pretty sure you have lots of fun being an entertainer as well. G'day (:

I always wanted to be a pilot as well, for the Air Force. I thought it would be sooo cool. My grandpa used to fly helicopters for the Marines. Right now, I teach. I will be more free in a couple years and will use that time to travel and see the world.

That is very interesting that you wanted to be a pilot as well :D Oh, traveling is something I want to do as well. I am currently studying for my engineering degree, I will try once again to get into the air force after I am done, and if it does not happens then I have engineering to fall back upon anyway. (: Good Luck to you.

I did not have anything particular in mind back when I was a child. I just wanted to think about what I was doing at that time. Regarding work I just wanted a have a decent job in an office.

That's fair enough, I suppose everyone would like to get a decent job that they enjoy doing and that provides them with a good income as well. Good luck to you (:

I really love to write, I wanted to be a fantasy writer. Now I end up being a tax administrator who works for the government LOL. They're two VERY DIFFERENT jobs, hahaha. But I still want to be a writer, anyway. I spend my spent time writing my novel, even though it's not good, at least I am free to write. My biggest dream is to have my novel published! I don't have to wait later in life to do what I want to do, and I'm very grateful of it.

Hi there Xzcess When I was a lot younger I wanted to be an actress as I was involved in amatuer dramatics and did several stage shows! Later on I wanted to be a teacher and after that I wanted to join the forces. When I left school I went straight into a job not really caring what I did, I just wanted to be independant and moved out of the family home. Now I am a full time mum which, to me, is the best job ever! I am doing a college course each week so that I can become a councillor

I wanted to act when i was young. Because i could enjoy various kind of lives in the drama. But now i am a scholar and very bored everyday. If the time flows backwards or i have a chance now, certainly i will change my way at once.

Maybe its a sign that you do not have to wish for the time to go backwards, eh ?? I do not know how, but I suppose you can still try taking a shot at your dream job now, can't you ??

Hi Xzcess, as a young 'kid' all I really wanted from life was to be allowed to grow up to be a goat, I had a great fear at the time of course of ending up on a spit and being some nasty persons Easter Sunday lunch. My only ambition was to avoid the chop and gamble up lanes with my playmates eating grass and having fun stealing laundry from washing lines. We had a lovely ancient shepherdess who had tended our flock for generations, but then alas the foreigners moved in and took over our playing fields to build their nasty swimming pools on, so now as a goat I am forced to roam near to dangerous roads climbing nasty rocks to get to a bit of nice chewy olive branch. So sadly being a goat was not all I envisaged in my childhood.

Well, we can get someone to have you walk around green pastures and save you from the men who intend on making you their lunch.. if you like, of course.

I wanted to sing and act and I did go on to do a performing arts course and then a degree in Drama, and did some theatre after that so I did do what I set out to - I was kind of out of it with a long term illness and then I got married and moved countries so I am only just working out what I want to do now after all that. I think I'd like to focus more on writing, but then I start seeing theatre pieces in my head and think I should get some people together and start my own theatre company....maybe...

It is great that you did what you wanted to do for a while. I am sure you can start with writing any time you want. Theatre company might need some time and investment but you already are familiar with the profession. Good Luck (:

As a child, I had big dreams of becoming a famous singer or movie star. Ordinary jobs just didn't seem that exciting. Hollywood glamour superstar fame were what I fantasized about.

True. Ordinary jobs never seem to have caught my attention as well. So, what do you do now, are you going to try and make it to Hollywood ?

When I was in grade school I always wanted to become a fashion designer. I love to draw sketches and cut-out some pictures from the magazine that features collection of dresses for a particular season. Well, right now guess what? LOL :) I am working in a major bank here in the Philippines. I enjoy what i'm doing, although I planned to go to SOFA (school of fashion and arts) one of these days. :)

You must be really good with sketches. I cant really draw much, but i try, just because it is fun to be shading something when you are about to fall asleep in a chool class you like attending :P Working in a bank, wow, that is very different than a fashion designer, though it still is nice that you like what you do. Good Luck with the SOFA.. it would be great that after that course you can do you bank job as well as do some designing in your free time (: G'day

Well I wanted to be a great number of things as a child. I think they changed almost every year. From being a cook, to a singer, to a dancer, to an actress, to a doctor, and now a chemist. I think it's because I like to take up new things every year, and it's always fun speculating what it would be like if I spent my whole life doing this activity. One really funny thing that I don't recall is that when my teacher asked my and my friend what we wanted to become when we grow up, we answered "Pokemon Trainers!". Take note, I remember NOTHING. But I did really like Pokemon back then, so you can never really be sure. I'd love to follow my dreams and flip through careers just to see what it was like. And I think that's a great way to learn what career I'd like to have for my whole life.

Yea, I know my little cousin sister is like that. she comes up with a new answer every next day if you ask her what she wants to be when she grows up. Pokemon trainer .. lol. Nice. I wonder what the teacher would have said on hearing that. thanks for sharing (:

A nurse, nice. Its good you like your present job as well, considering I know many who are not satisfied with theirs (though thanks to the recent recession they have stopped complaining about their job thinking they are lucky to at least have one).. You can still do the actress bit. Record a video and post it on youtube :P (Make sure you link me -nod-) .. maybe you will get popular enough so that some Oscar award winner director sees you and casts you (: Law sounds good, I had a fascination with law for a while as well. Im still a student though, doing my computer engineering, so I might end up taking up law after as well. It is totally understandable how you like to take up school again and again. I think I am going ahead on the same course .
