Today I was a bit upset. I purchased a gps at a large chain store. I did my homework, and found one on sale. I was hoping that the discount was deducted at the cash register, but rebate night mare came into effect. Once I returned home , I started the online process, for my $20.00 rebate. The special web site that was set up for rebates, was not working. A message came up and said, sorry for the problem , call back tuesday. My question , why not let the retailer deduct the rebate from the get go, and let the manufacter and retailer fight out the details.

Yes I hate when the rebates are not instant. I hardly buy anything anymore that is on a mail in rebate.
I agree it is a hassle and a big headache with a night mare. It is just something Id rather not put up with.
We should petition for all rebates to be instant and taken off at the store on point of purchase.
Enjoy your Labor day.
