Who's more intelligent, girls or boys?

oh boy, cyberjaze, you have asked a question that men and women have been arguing for centuries. I believe that both men and women are smart in their own way. We all have strengths and weaknesses. Look at Donald Trump for example. I don't know if you have heard of him but he is the richest men in america. He owns lots of property in New York, and other places I'm sure. He knows a lot about real estate and making money but in his personal life he is not smart at all. He has been married three times and his current wife is ten to twenty years younger than him. You would think that a man that smart would be able to handle his private life as well. So he is smart in one way and not in others. Personally, I am not good in math. But all I have to do is ask my husband those questions and he can do it in his head. That is why we are good together, where I am weak, he is strong. But if you ask me any sewing or craft questions, or about motherhood, and I'm pretty intelligent about those things. So it depends on what the subject is.

I dont one is more intelligent than others. there are some girls who are good at math, i think that comment in itself is generalization. I think some girls now more about somethings while boys know more about other things. It doesn't make one smarter than the other or more intelligent, just that we know a little more about other things, differnt things different interests.

Hello cyberjaze I do not agree with your view as far as I am concerned I think that in an average girls student are more intelligent than boys. Girls are more studious than boys. I am not distinguishing in between boys & girls in certain cases boys have shown excellent results , but my personal feeling is girls are more intelligent. pkc3000

Definitely girls, I say that being a boy myself (though I can't really call myself a boy but yeah). You know why? Because most high school "boys" are behaving like idiots. I've seen a lot more boys smoking or bullying or whatever because they think that makes them cool than I have seen girls do. Being intelligent isn't being better at maths than someone, its how you live, how you live your life with the least problems possible and avoid bad situations and how you use the full extent of your abilities to realize your dreams. No one is perfect of course so we all do mistakes but I think that there are many more stupidities committed by men than by women. That's my point of view at least.

By the way of any calculation....of mathmatics..i think boys are the best....and....in the way of..getting good marks in the examination.....girls are superior..so i wana say...some places boys are superior and on some places girls...are superior..

Boys are good at reasoning and logic, while girls are good at visual and spacial.

As u say, when it comes to Mathematics, boys are proven to be better in mathematics. but in real life it's that girls are more intelligent than boys , in all aspects... "Proven"??? I think in general only boys may achieve higher grades in math than girls. However, you may blame some of that on the teacher as they tend to teach toward the general consensus that boys are "better." Therefore they put their energy into boys rather than girs. However, I taught math in the public schools and did not find this to be true. Each student has their own limitations and places they excel. In my class everyone regardless of gender or race was encouraged to excel. I did not notice anything that would cause me to agree with the statement that "boys are better" at math than girls. How many boy math teachers did you have? How many female math teachers did you have?

I believe we don't need to have statistical record on that. For me, i don't need to because they are always better, I've seen it since Elementary, High-school and College. they always top or if not then at least top ten of the smartest in schools. It's not that bad i mean, what can if they can't be good at physical brawl, might as well be smart to outsmart some one

It depends on what kind of intelligence you're talking about. Men may have more clear rational intelligence, but girls certainly can work emotions out better, and we all know that emotional intelligence is as important, or maybe more important than any other kind of intelligence. After all, which is more important: Math or personal realization?

Being good in math doesn't make you intelligent. It makes you smart. I personally do not sum up intelligence by one strength. So, okay, it's been proven but women have been proven to excel in many other regards as compared with men. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. If you claim that one gender excels better than the other, it really depends on what your subject/criteria is.

There are multiple inteligences, no one has all. So maybe girls are better at some subjects and boys are better in other subjects. But generally is the same.
