I don't know about you but for me most of the applications on facebook are so basic and flimsy and amount to just junk that can't keep my attention for more than a single visit. That said, I found myself strangely addicted to Owned! last year (happy to report I have now shaken that addiction) and lately both my wife and I seem to be addicted to Jewel Puzzle (although technically that's not uniquely a facebook application). Also, it seems to me based on all the hype that Maffia Wars is extremely popular. I haven't played it though I did a spell with Mob Wars last year and despite its limitations, it still seemed to suck me in daly for a while. I'd like to find out what you think.

Scrabble is my favorite Facebook app.Ü
It is just sooo addicting. I can stay in front of the computer the whole day and not get tired. It's interesting, exciting, and fun all at the same time because I don't just get to play with my friends who are on Facebook, but I also get to play against players from other countries so it gets more challenging.
I think I'd like to try Jewel Puzzle.
I've seen my brother play it a couple of times last week. It looks fun too!

Well all I can say is WATCH OUT on Jewel Puzzle - like all the Bejewelled games it is totally addicting. Scrabble sounds the same way and in fact I love scrabble as a game and would like to play it on facebook but the one time I tried it seemed to be restricted to me - it only seemed available to players outside the US. Is there a US accessible version?

My favorite facebook application has to be send a hug. it is a good way to respond to old friends and make new ones. Everyone needs a hug now and then. Why not make it a good experience as well.

Yes - virtual hugs are popular even though they're only virtual- it's the thought that counts isn't it? What do you think of pokes?

hi there markodoom,
to be honest Im kinda addicted to facebook's applications and to all of its various games like Mafia Wars, Pet Society, Country Story, Guess the Sketch, Quizzes, ect. but I'm the kind of person who gets bored easily so after playing with all these games and stuffs I usually stop playing them and search for new ones so I guess I don't really get addicted to just a single thing for too long.

That makes sense. It's how a lot of us are and the genius of facebook is it's perfectly suited to that mindeset!

See- that seems to be a favorite with a LOT of people! What's the attraction? Is it like Mob Wars? That game got old for me after a while.

The only game type application on Facebook I use is SuperPoke Pets. It's not really a game, but you take care of your pet (feed, tickle, clean, and have playdates) and your friends pets. You get coins for doing that and you can spend them at the Pet Shop to decorate your pet's habitat.
I wasn't going to get into any applications . . . I just wanted to use Facebook to communicate with old friends and family. But this was the first application that a friend got me into, and it just stuck. There was just something about getting as many coins as I could and buying stuff from that Pet Shop that was appealing to me. Many of my friends have dropped participating in this application, but I still take care of their pets to get the coins.
Definitely I am an addict of Facebook, but not sure about the SuperPoke Pets application. I do however, feel guilty if I miss a day of not getting my coins! :P

Oh yes - I've played that game too. Is that the one with the great 3d graphics of the pets too? That's pretty cool. Facebook friends got me into it and I played for a while but I knew I wouldn't last because I don't even like to have pets in real life ...so there's no way I was going to be able to stick with a virtual pet ;)
