ARE YOU... a morning person?

Back when I was working a 9-5 job, I used to think that mornings were my best times; I wake up and go to work earlier than most people. Now that I'm hours are more flexible, I find that midday (10am to 1pm) becomes my most efficient time of the day. How about you, when do you work best?

Hi riven, I’m not a morning person. I stay up late watching tv programs and playing games. It’s fortunate that I usually go to work in the afternoon. I still could enjoy sleeping until late in the morning. I like going to bed in the early wee hours. The weather at this time would be rather cold. I could fall asleep fast. I don’t want to waste time keeping on tossing and turning in the bed due to the hot weather. Yeah, we would feel energetic after having a proper sleep. This could enable us to do our work more efficient. Lol I feel rather drowsy after having lunch most of the time. The situation becomes worse if it’s a hot sunny day. If I could I usually would like having a short nap Happy posting!

I am not usually a morning person. Afternoon is generally my most productive time of the day. Sometimes, though, I get up early and get all my work done by early afternoon, and then I can enjoy the rest of the day. This usually happens on hot sunny days, because I want to be able to get out and enjoy the sunshine and perhaps take a swim in the pool or something.

I think the best time for me in a day is evening, after dinner. But my job makes me get up early every workday. And I have to say my mother and my neighbour downstairs are a typical morning persons. The noise made by them also compels me awake early.

Even if I won't like waking up in the morning, I have no choice because I worked in a company which starts our working hour at 7:30 am and ends at 5:00pm. Every day seems like a punishing day to me as I struggled waking up in the morning. I really hate this kind of work routine but I have no choice this is part of life.

I used to be. I used to get up at 6, without an alarm. I did my morning routine and was ready to take on the day. Now I have to drag my butt out of bed. This changed when I turned 30. I guess my body just couldn't keep up anymore. :)

In your saying,am I a evening person,I think?I used to get up early in the morning too,but I must go to bed early too.I find I like to work from 5 at night fall to the midnight before I go to bed.I am excited in the evening, and I will have more interesting ideas than at daytime.I can easy finish a task while listening to music and quiet around in the deep night, everyone sleeping... I know it's not good for health, but it seem that I can change this habit now.I sleep 5 or 6 hours a day, mostly I don't like to sleep at noon too,so I may feel tired in the morning, and I can't make myself consentrate...after dinner, maybe the calorie help me to start my work... I have try to become a morning person before, but I can endure cooking breakfast or finding it outside,so I choose to work after I eat...haha.. beeduzhe

I'm not a morning person but my job requires me to be one. I tend to go to bed pretty darn early and then wake up rather early. I start work at 8 and get off at 4:30 so I'm definitely happy that I get finished rather early but it's just a pain otherwise waking up so early. I'm just glad I don't close anymore, that's a pain! I've found that I do work better now since I've gotten used to waking up so early. However, I tend to work a lot better at night. At least I used to I haven't really had to do much work late at night anymore so I can't really compare my usual times anymore.

I've never been a morning person, even in the decades I worked a day job. When I started my own home-based business in 1991, for the first few years I kept the same schedule, primarily because my daughters were in school and my husband worked days. But, that doesn't mean I enjoyed it. About seven years ago, my husband switched to second shift. My girls no longer living at home, so I adjusted my schedule to coincide with his. This has been ideal. We get up around 9am, and I work until 1pm when I make dinner for my husband to bring to work. My most productive time of day is between 6 and 10pm. I usually stay up until my husband comes home at about 1:30am. Now that I'm considered a senior citizen, I enjoy the luxury of napping for about a half hour in the afternoon.
