Video Error

Has anyone ever gotten the error 2048 this file is not a movie file when trying to play an avi file?
I've looked around online and though people have the error they have no idea how to fix it.
I think it's something I've downloaded as the same files worked previously.

May be you don't have the required codec.try playing it in a different player like vlc or gom player.That might help
