YES! There are many nights where I come onto Mylot with great intentions. Then I get here and start reading and I'm instantly bored. Or I just get really annoyed with some of the posts (like you said, one liners) and I just X out. It's really unfortunate. There are just too many newbies here that don't read the guidelines or that don't understand what Mylot really is all about. I wish there were a way to give those people 3 strikes and then they're out. I guess that would be a lot of work for the Mylot admin though! For now we have to deal. UGH!

I agree with you. I haven't been doing discussions for a while since things have become stale and there is nothing that would interest me as of the moment. I've been reserving my energies on doing tasks and so far, it's been paying off, real good actually! Will see around here though if I could find something of interest

Oh, it's not just lately for me. It's been like that for me since I pretty much started. I go through discussions and just find most of them either boring or I just have nothing to say. And what's funny is that it's those uninteresting ones that tend to get the most responses. What's up with that? I'm trying to get to payout and then I think I'm gonna call it quits on MyLot. It's not only boring, but much too time consuming.

I find myself getting bored with the discussions pretty often lately. I feel a lot more motivated when I reply to discussions that I'm interested in so I really make an effort to search around for them. Problem is, as you said, there is a lack of new and interesting discussions lately, and so I usually end up answering old ones that I find under my interest. I don't know... It also seems to me that there are fewer people around, at least with my friends, there are a lot less posting nowadays. Before, when I log on, I find a lot of interesting discussions under "friends started," one to two pages' worth at least. These days, the new ones can't even fill half.

Hi Blueeyed, I have come across that a fair few times as well. I tend to come on here thinking that it will be great to go around and boost my earnings on awesome new discussions, but after looking at a few interests I tend to end up sidetracked by something not mylot related because there was nothing around to keep my attention . With the one liners I tend to just avoid them. Same for repeat discussions though that is mostly because someone beats me to the answers and I see no point in adding my 2 cents since I would just be saying the same as the person before. (I gather too that those discussions can get deleted which is another reason I avoid them lol). Being new I don't think I have come across the juicy stuff, though I have heard a few older members mention that the quality used to be better in the past. Is the juicy stuff the more controversial discussions that would start debates? All the best and I hope there was some interesting content for you today Dranz

I love reading discussions which are interesting and new! Anything that's short is usually without substance and no fun at all. I think we collectively need to start more discussions and do more so that we can make mylot a fun place again!

Yes, I do and I know of many people who suffer from an overdose of mylot and take a self-imposed break. For the past few days, I was voluntarily off mylot…I just got too bored with answering and interacting with people here. Sometimes, I felt guilty really, thinking about the many discussions I was missing or just not saying ‘hello’ to people here but I guess this happens with us in our family lives too. We just get too bored with our own people and want to escape for a few days…only in real life its not that easy or possible. However, since the virtual world gives us that advantage, I utilize it completely and stay away from mylot for a few days.

There is usually a different mood on myLot every day and this reflects on the type of discussions that are being posted. I can honestly say that I never get bored here - and it doesn't happen offline either. I can feel the symptoms and realise that it is not the situation but ME that has a problem. I hunt out something to snap me out of the mood. I have lots of friends here who make fun discussions and I jjust go and barge in on them if I can't find anything to start me off. Or I go and comment on some of my own until I get back into the swing again. It doesn't usually take long and then time runs out and I find I have so many discussions I would like to be on but not enough time!

hi blueeyedmommy. there are lots of times that this thing happens on here. but that's not often. there are still a lot of good friends here who always had great stuff to discussed. but when i feel the boredom, i go back to my old discussions and see if i have missed something, so i can comment. and sometimes, i also go to my friends old discussions to respond. that specially goes to my new added friends that already has a lot of discussions that i never had seen in the past.

Everybody has the time that they are tired of posting anything.it's easy to process,just post something when you want to post.Don't strain yourself

Trust I think just about every mylot user gets that from time to time but you'll get through it if you like this site at all. I find that if you just respond to any discussions that sound interesting you will at least be slowly earning. Nothing big but you will be earning slowly and eventually reach payout. That's how I do it.

Yes i know how you feel. I joined mylot quite recently. I was on for like the first week quite a bit and then after that i started to get bored and stayed away for about two weeks. I find it boring when you are going through discussions and there are several the same. I dont feel like writing out the same answer twice. I find it sometimes hard to find a good discussion that I can actually put in a thoughtful and descritive answer rather than just a one word sentance. Like I hate when people just ask somthing like "What did you eat for breakfast". Like there is not much I can answer to that except a couple lines. And then what am I supposed to respond to others. So yeah. I find though that after taking some time away from mylot and then coming back helped me though. Because when I got back here there were lots of fresh new topics for me respond to and I also had a few questions myself that I wanted to start. So I think that is really the key to this whole thing. Maybe dont go on everyday or try to take some time away from it.
