Before I start this kind of game, I would like to introduce this first. "This is a game about deception and persuasion. Every person is assigned a role at the start of the game. You will be randomly sided with the village or the mafia. During the night, the mafia players meet together and secretly kill one player from the village. During the day, everyone will become a normal villager. The village must figure out who is the mafia and bring them into justice. You will play either as mafia, villager, or somebody else. Your goal is to converse with other players and advance towards your own goals. Your skills in persuasion and lying will determine the course of the game." - EpicMafia.com This game is will divide the player into two teams (or there will be a third party role for some advance variants) as village or as mafia. The village team wins when they got all the mafia down. And the mafia team wins if they are equal to or outnumbers the village team. The game always starts with the village team as majority. Before the game starts, everyone will be given their role. For example, 20 player game has 5 mafia and 15 villagers. Role may seldomly be special. For example, 13 plain villagers, 1 cop, and 1 doctor is still equal to 15 villagers. And 4 plain mafia and 1 godfather is still equal to 5 mafia. Game usually starts on night phase. Night phase is when everyone else are sleeping EXCEPT the mafia members. The mafia members will know each other and will secretly message each other to decide and vote on who to kill during the night. They can't kill their fellow members of course. It will just be a loss. So they choose randomly and secretly to kill from the village team. After every mafia voted, day phase will start automatically, and one person will die. On Day phase, everyone will meet together in the whole Mafia Game Topic and try to decide and scumhunt (term used to detect if the person is mafia or not, base on how they participate). Every villager doesn't know who else are the real villagers, and what specific role they have. During the day, they can either choose only one person to lynch (kill by hanging someone on a rope) through the majority voting process (which is 50% + 1 as majority). After lynching, night phase will resume and everyone else will not participate in the Mafia Game Topic. But has voting power during the day. Cop - this is a special town role, or a town power role, that can know whether a player is sided with the village or mafia during the night. He still has his normal voting power during the day. Doctor - this is another town power role that can protect someone from dying during the night only. During the day, he will just vote with all the living players. Mafia - this is a role that has a mafia meeting with all mafia member. Can speak to all mafia during the night through private messaging, and decide on who to kill. Can participate voting with the village during the day. Godfather - this is a mafia role that has Cop immunity. He will never appear as mafia in cop's report. Can kill with the mafia during the night and can participate voting with the village during the day. Dead players are dead and may no longer participate in both Day and Night meetings. This is just an introduction thread. Actual game might start if we have enough players to participate. 20-person is an ideal number for our game.
