i just don't get it! a friend of mine inquired and booked thru phone in a travel agency for their trip here in manila. booking thru phone meaning no payment was made. unfortunately my friend decided not to purchase the ticket from them and decided to go directly to the airline ticketing office and purchased, but they were able to tell that they are not going anymore. while they were here, the travel agent called asking for their payment. im not used to this, ill be needing your help... should they pay for it? another thing, the agent said they'll do certain legal actions on this. is that possible?

As you said they booked it first though the phone through a travel agency; that means that your friend did give her INFO to that agency and if the ticked was ordered through the phone then yes they have to pay it probely unless they have an insurence to cancel it...

Welcome to wonderful My Lot. I suggest that when booking airline ticket and at the some time get travel insurance. When booking a ticket on the phone it wouldn't be sorted unless a debit or credit card detail had been given. Good luck to your friend.
