So today school officially starts in here, and it's my first day at work and at a new school. I'm supposed to only work from 12 -3 today, but something tells me that maybe my work day will be as complicated as my personal day has been since the morning.
It started with what seemed like a normal morning - little did I know
Then I decided to pay a bill trough the internet. Problem was I blanked out and couldn't remember my user name or password for that company. Actually I couldn't even remember which email I had used.
I went trough all my email addresses trying to find the info for that site. When I finally found the emails from the company confirming that the profile had been made, it didn't they didn't have the info on them. No user name no password.
So I had to click on the forget user name link which them immediately asked me for the account number which I don't know by heart and couldn't check because hubby is the one who has it and he's out of Toronto for the day.
So I had to call the company and ask for the account number.
It didn't stop there, after I got the account number I tried it and it did give me the user name, but not the password. Have to do everything again to reset password.
The I get the first heart attack of the day, when I see that the amount I should pay is double than what my payment is. Call the company again - I should have thought of it - because my payment was on the 7 and today is the 8th, it's already showing next month's payment as well, but I don't have to pay both, just one.
Ok, breathing again.
Now I click on pay and it asks me for my bank info...darn I should have saved it last time I used this. I used to pay by check, and it was just last month that I started paying online. Forgot to save bank information.
Have to go find a check. Look at the numbers.. ok my brain is not working, can't remember which ones are which, transit number, routing number, account number..Oh my
I still can't remember . Go to the bank site, try to add that biller so I can pay that way. Nope they don't show up. Go back to the company site, call the bank, ask the silly question. But they have no routing number.
Back to the company site. Have to enter routing number. Call the company online help. "Yes you have to enter routing number" "But at the bank they say they don't have it" " But it won't go through without it " "but I paid like this last month" "then you entered the routing number" so I decide to try branch number. It seems to have worked but by then I'm almost late. Not really, but almost.
So I go take a shower but pass by the kitchen first. My dog went had peed in the kitchen, something he never did unless we count one or two times when he was a puppy.
Now I have to go clean it. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I'm already not paying attention to what I do, so I grab the pail and the mop. The pail seems heavier but I didn't pay attention and filled it up with water and detergent. Take it to the kitchen, drop the mop in the water, when I try to squeeze in in the side thingy it tips. Now I have pee in the kitchen and a big puddle. I try it again to wring the water out of the mop, it tips again, this time I end with almost all the water in my kitchen floor. That's when I noticed that someone had put one bucket inside the other and that's why it wasn't stable.
Can't wring the mop, run to the washroom grab a handful of towels. My kitchen looks like a swimming pool.
Finally the towels help and I'm able to clean the mess.
But time is running. I have time to make only one post and take a shower before leaving.
My mom calls from Portugal. "mom, I"m really late, I have to go " "Of course my dear, I understand, that reminds me of when you great aunt....."
This is not a good start for my day
So... how long since you had one of these days? What happened? Tell me all, misery loves company LOL

misery sure loves company. That's why it never rains but pours. lol. I too am weary of passwords especially in critical moments. Many times, when I need to check something online for a urgent decision, suddenly the dreaded happen. You have hit the maximum number of tries and your account is now locked. Cheezeee. I would then regret using internet banking or maintaining online accounts.

Oh, I tell you, grrrl, even though we've been retired almost 4 years there never comes a Labor Day that we don't get our tummies in a knot about all the bureacracy of having to start a new school year--even though we don't have to start back, the knot still surfaces! I drove past several schools today and saw the students outside engaging in their sporting activities (hah, don't they sit at desks indoors and read books and write assignments any more?) and I just thought, there but for the Grace of God go we...lol.

That does sound like a day that has gone wrong. I have avoided the whole internet bill paying thing by sticking with paying bills through the mail. The problems you had with it today are one of my reasons for doing that. Also, if they overcharge me, I don't want it taken out of my account. I want to hold the paper bill, call them, and get it taken care of that way. Of course sometimes I have trouble getting a hold of the right person... Not that paper bills always work for the better. I got a bill for $55 today that shocked me. Of course I called the number to dispute it, but it truns ou this medical bill will indeed have to be paid - by me. Medicaid did not cover it.
I hope your day at school went better than your morning!

Well, arkaf61 , you know me!! yep that is my life, days like that! My daughter's favorite book in elementary school was "Alexander's Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day"...now I say that all the time!!
My husband got layed off last week. He is in construction upper management which is extremely hard to find even in good times. He had to go to Las Vegas to get this job, and when the company was bought out by another company to form a merge... as usual, the buying companys keeps all their guys and lays off all the guys from the company they bought. Now he is comgin back here to CA and I have probably (again) sent 100 resumes out to head hunters, staffing agents, companies We know that does his kind of work...and so far, not a single bite.
So all I see for me is weeks of "horrible, no good, very bad days". Misery loves company... you and me need to start the first charter!
