The Converter Box SCAM

Last night my digital converter box stopped working. Have any of you experienced this? If you haven't, and you are one the many who actually use one, then you have at least experienced the extreme frustration associated with the reception of digital TV regardless of the quality of antenna you have. Personally, I will take a fussy station over a station that freezes up every 5 minutes any day. The only nice thing about The digital switch is that it offers more channels for some networks, particularly PBS. I love(d) the channel options that PBS gave. Unfortunately, I no longer have that option, nor do I have the option to watch any other channel for that matter, and there is no way I am going to buy another box (though I didn't buy the first one). I know that I am not alone in the matter. My parents had a box that conked out as well. Now they have Cable. I find this to be absolutely ridiculous. Why would they make these converter boxes so cheap that they break in less then a year? Especially when they are ridiculously overpriced in the first place. I mean seriously, what is the deal with this? I for one am done. If I want to watch TV, I will watch it online. I am sure that this will be beneficial to me in the long run anyway. I am sure that the TV Networks will miss me, along with others like me, but I say it is their loss. All it has done for me since the change is frustrate. As much advertising that is shown on regular network channels, there is no way that we should have to pay for it, and now regardless of how you choose to access TV, you are paying for it somehow. The only option that I see as worth while is the internet option, simply because I pay for it anyway.
