Do bad things really happen in threes?

Yep they do and it happens to my friends all the time! LOL And no, you're not done for awhile, you will just have another group of threes coming at ya! LOL

Well lets hope so my friend, that's an end to your bad luck, yes I think things do indeed come in threes, but that also works for good things too! In the past I have received an email telling me that I had a prize, then I found out I had won a small cash prize on the lottery and then for my third thing I found a pound coin when I was out walking! So now that you've had three bad things, watch out for three good things. I also believe this in our life that we go through 'bad' periods when it doesn't rain it pours! If it's not one thing going wrong it's something else. Things are sent to test us. Hopefully 3 is the magic number and that's it no more disasters for you my friend! Fingers crossed ;0)

it seems like it does. the one year my furnace went-then found the whole chimney had to be redone-and then to add insult to injury,the water heater blew.most money i ever spent without leaving the house it was amazing.

Well, I hope you are done with your bad luck streak. I don't know. In my case....I get at least three bad things almost each week of my life. Some are worse than others. It's cool if they are at least spread out a bit. It really bites when all the bad stuff happens in one day. I am grateful if only 3 bad things happen because that means that all the other moments were good. Good luck, dawn. Oh and your're right ....push mowers don't break down or even wear out. When I was a kid, I had to mow our lawn with one of those antique push mowers. I think my dad mowed the lawn with it when he was a kid. It was rusty but it worked. Great excercise also.

I think bad things do happen in threes. I work in aviation and I've often noticed that plane crashes/accidents tend to happen in threes in a short space of time. It's almost uncanny. More recently in the past month I've made 3 fairly "firm" landings, I'm hoping that is going to be the last of them for a while! I hope your bad luck comes to end!

Being a very non-superstitious person I'd have to say "No" and also that I've never noticed good or bad things come in threes. I had 22 years of bad things and maybe they came in three millions then. In the last 51 years there have been a mixture of good and bad, but the bad have been so far between, and so outweighed by the good, that I would be positive they haven't come in threes. Maybe the good have come in three millions? As always, Dawn, a lot of fun reading your discussions and comments. You bring joy to a lot of people. This is a "good" for the day and I'm sure it will be followed by a lot more "goods"

well, you can say that but sometimes I dont believe in luck or bad luck... it is just what happen(accident) and you should get a way from them soon as long as you keep thinking positive ways. I know sometimes things just happen all at once and it makes you so piss about these. I just hate to think about it cuz it makes me has a headache... I just walk away and sit back and relax for a minute if I can :) Dont worry... you will be full of luck soon... or may be you feel like, you willing to loose this but get the BEST one

I have been in similar situation before. Something bad happens and it is always followed by another bad thing. Perhaps it might be true. Other people have also experience such. This may be the reason why the saying "when it rain, it pours". Well, I have read the law of attraction and perhaps this might be one of the reason for such. When bad things happen and you worry and think of another bad thing, it may attract those things and it may happen. So perhaps the solution would be to think positively, think of good things rather than bad. Surely this will also attract good things rather than bad.

Hey Dawn, I do believe things happen in threes but I'm more inclined to believe that they are more like life altering things, like Deaths or threats of any kind. Maybe that's being a bit on the negative side but that's been my experience. I hope that it is true for you because all of these things are not only annoying but costly. At the beginning of the year, my car broke down a quarter of a mile from home. It's still broken down. In the meantime hubbies truck has been broken down and he has been working on both continually. Can't afford a mechanic since I'm on disability and my hubby has been out of work since June 2007. I could go on and on but many people here have very similar stories. To answer your question, I don't know if your threes mean it's done but I really hope so for your sake. Big hug. leenie

Hi dawny I would definatly say that things come in threes but not necessarily bad things. I have 3 kids so I think it is quite normal for things to happen in 3's hahaha

I hope your bad run is well and truly over Dawn! I try very hard not to believe that bad things come in three because I wonder if it is our belief that can make it so. I have had many 'one thing after another' go wrong at times; in fact this is one of those times for me. The only thing I can do is resolve matters as they occur and pray that it ends there...For a while anyway...

Hi Dawn, Wow that is a nasty stream of bad luck. I hope you get Wolfie's three set of good luck thing now too! The one event that came to my mind that involved threes was something I initially thought would be good luck. I saw 3 Cayennes in one day. Now one of my odd things to do is to cheer when I see certain rare makes of cars. Cayenne's used to be top on this list so seeing three in one day was amazing...that was until there was some weather/traffic trouble and I got stranded in my university town! I am a very scheduled person so being stuck in this town really annoyed me, especially since it meant I had to spend extra time with someone who would later become my ex-boyfriend. I think the day ended okay in the end (somehow), but each time I see Cayenne's I stop looking after 2, just in case lol! Away from that, your talk of mechanical failures made me think of a friend. She had err a fridge, computer and some other devices all die around the same time, I am not sure if there were three though, but they definitely happened around her mum in the space of a few days. I was thinking it was her mum shorting them out with a small EMP field or something, but perhaps it was really bad luck instead lol! All the best and neat topic , Dranz

Eath person's life ,have been particularly sucessful when there are everything go poorly fatal moment.Do not take too much notice. Gone by very quickly, think of good things ,mind put away a little.

nothing happened of this sort with me in the threes company.we are three best friends and we go together for shopping, travel, sports club, and even for the night out on weekends.i don't this bad things happens in the threes but i feel its a mere coincidence that bad happened with u and u started thinking like that.chill dear.

It does seem like they happen in three's even deaths.....so I hope the worst is behind you now! Let's keep our fingers crossed that your luck has changed!

hi dawnald yep you will now have good luck.yep first my son lost[his job,second the lady who was going to sponser us up and changed her mind at the last minute so we didnt get her help or the apartment third we were homeless. so now I am in a home of sorts not what I want but yet what has to be for now ,and my son is stillout of work but also is in a gov.paid apartment so he can live while he hunts ofr work.so maybe we will luck out yet.

I don't know if I believe that or not, maybe it's just that you are looking for three so everyday problems that happen all the time become part of the three. But I also seem to have these in threes.

Hi dawnald. You know what? I think I do believe in this. It happened to me once in 2007. I was in a minor accident for two consecutive days. One of my officemates suggested that I should go on leave the following day for it could happen in threes. I also believed her that is why I did not report for work the following day. It is a good thing that you try to follow it for you will never know what is going to happen.
