clothes over 5 years old

My formal clothes do not last so long or rather I do not keep them for so long. But my jeans are indeed very old. I still wear a jean that is 7 years old. My latest jeans is atleast 3 years.

I actually have jeans that are more than 5 years old... and i still wear them on a regular basis... i think the older jeans get... the more comfortable they are to wear... so i can't bear to throw or just give them away... i also have shirts that are very old... but i only wear them when i am in the house...

I've gotten rid of most of my old clothes, because after having two kids in the last 3 years, i no longer fit into my nice size 3 jeans. LOL. and the longer i keep them and keep trying to squeeze my @ss into them, the more depressed i was getting. so i got rid of them and accepted i will never be that little size again. My hubby still has clothing that he wore in jr high.. wow.. good thing big and baggy was in then.

I do not buy clothes very often and I wear out all of my clothes before I trash them of put the good parts in a quilt. There are those things I just can throw away and I have been working to loose weight so I have a closet of clothes that are several sizes to big. I plan to have a garage sale in the spring and will sell some of the ones in good shape, but my favorite will end up in quilts. I have a few items I still wear on occassion that are more than 10 years old. Some of my dresses from after my first divorce I can now wear again and I do. Style or I should say being in style has never been my goal, if I like it I wear it and wear it until it is worn out.

Like you, I have clothes in my closet which are over 10 years. Ihe older and more worn out they are, the more comfortable they become. I cannot throw them away just like that because they are useful to me.
