Nope, this has not happened to me. But, I have heard of this before. It could be that it did not go off. But subconsciously you heard it. If someone else would have been with you, they would not have heard anything. But, nothing to worry about. It happens.

My smoke detector goes off several times a year by itself. Sometimes I will be changing the battery and looking for batteries and it goes off. I think it's my grandma. The same thing happens at my sister's house too. Whenever we acknowledge her the beeping stops. I have also heard a cuckoo clock go off at the right time for the chirps coming from the downstairs apt. I live upstairs and my Aunt lives downstairs. The house was my grandma's. I told my Aunt about it and it kind of freaked her out. She said Grandma's cuckoo clock hasn't worked in five years and has been in a box in the back closet since. It is broken. The sound was coming from the area my grandma had it.
