Hi Do you have fond memories of playing board games with your family? When I was younger Operation was a big hit and of course the ever popular Monopoly. When I had a family of my own some of the family favorites were...Uno.......Card Attack...... Battle Ship.....Sorry.... and Touche oh I almost forgot Scrabble! Thats still a popular one with us. Family board games have always been a way to spend great family time together especially if the weather is bad and you have to stay indoors. Before video games and DVD.......ect..families spent more time playing games and interacting now a days its not always easy to get the kids together to all sit down to a meal together let alone a have family time but we did manage to squeeze it in around soccer ,football, and basketball practice at least some of the time.

When I really little, I remember playing Monopoly a whole lot. I also remember not winning a whole lot, lol. While I was growing up, I loved playing Uno. I remember playing with some relatives one time and we played one game for like three hours. That was certainly a fun time. Some second favorite games I had were: Sorry, Trouble, and Rummikub.

Hi Strikezero86 I remember Trouble now thats an oldie! I have never heard of Rummikub Your right Uno was a fun game I liked playing it too I used to play it with my friends at school when we had a free day in class(our teacher would give us that from time to time for good behavior or if it was close to the holidays and there was no real school work to do) we got to play uno in class for the whole period,or whatever game you wanted to bring in that day.

Rummikub is kind of hard to describe, but the game involves these tiles with numbers and varying colors on them. The object of the game is to use these tiles to form particular sets. The winner is the one who uses up all their tiles first.

As I recall, Scrabble was how my mom taught me to better my vocabulary when I was little stuff. We had the child's version with oversized cardboard tiles with pictures to represent the letter. Also remember Battleship..a stock market type game called Acquire..Risk were biggies with us. Monopoly was one game I played that I never won a game in. I guess I'm not cutthroat enough..oh and Life and a lot of Parchesi variations. Thanks for the nostalgia.. ENJOY!!

Scrabbles mainly. we do have uno, but that got boring a few years ago. we have carrom board too. but video games are the most popular game in our home. once a blue moon me and my siblings would hit the basketball court. or badminton. that's a good one too.
