One who is honest and compassionate. One who is able to respect you for who and what you are, what you stand for and what you don't stand for. I am fortunate to have exceptionally good friends and i am very grateful for their presence in my life ...

I agree with your definition of a true friend. I also believe a true friend is trustworthy and someone you can count on even when there's no one else. I believe a true friend will also have the guts to tell you when they believe something you are doing isn't right - example: a true friend wouldn't let you drink and drive. I have one best friend, one true friend. We have been there for each other since the third grade, which is 15 years now. She is just like a sister to me, and I wouldn't trade her for the world!

A true friend is a person with which you can say nothing at all yet understand what the other person is trying to say. A true friend is a person whom you can hang out with and do nothing yet still feel happy. A true friend is a person whom you can share all your personal secrets with without them passing judgement on you. Unfortunatley i don't have a friend like that.
