Sen Noynoy Aquino finally announced his candidacy for president

A couple of minutes ago, Sen Noynoy Aquino finally announced his candidacy for president. Although it can be assumed a week ago that this day will come, everything now is clear. To me, his speech seem to be like his parents wherein the clean image of a leader is very important to help a country grow. I also saw some politicians like Sen Kiko Pangilinan who looks like he will join the support for Noynoy. Some groups are also starting to ask for voluntary contribution to support the financial aspect, in which Sen Biazon was very open to support. With this, what do you think Noynoy's chance of winning the race in 2010? Thanks!

The people may like and vote Noynoy for president, but I don't think he is ready for the sit. I don't he is that strong willed as Kris do. No offense meant to supporters of Noy, it was just my opinion. The other greedy politicians might use him to get to the real prize.

There is definitely a big chance for him to win. If I were there in the Philippines I will surely vote for him. Their family is tested with whole- hearted public service, honest and clean. I will pray for his and our country's victory.

Not just a big chance, but a very gigantic chance. His candidacy came in a perfect timing. His announcement of running for president is like a boxing fight of Manny Pacquiao where all Filipinos are united. Let's just hope he can continue the legacy of his parents especially by being a true and honest leader.

I guess it's too early to predict even Senator Noynoy's chances of winning. We still dont have all the cards laid on the table yet. There are still missing players that haven't placed their bets yet. I'm talking about the other possible candidates that will somehow cast their decisions at the final moment. Let's just wait and see.

Well I guess he is already set for the presidency. As for my support, since he is the only person who has shown interest in running I think he will be for now be watch over for all of his action. I think for the next few days his privacy would now become public already as he will start to get both the negative and the positive feedback from the all sides of the ballgame. I do hope he has prepared himself for that especially for the political mudslinging happening here and there. His chances of winning is really big as of now since I think there is a wide support from the civil society groups that are so anti administration. They seem to flock already like Ed Panlilio and Grace Padaca politicians that are highly regarded as good politicians and never tainted with any political scandals. The likes of Pangilinan, Biazon and other known politicians are also starting to flock together to support Noynoy's plight in the coming days. I guess they could have a strong force this coming 2010 campaign.

It's kinda expected that he will run for the presidential race in 2010. But I still believe that he have been swayed only by the mass. I just hope that once he won the election, there would be changes in our country and I also hope that the Filipino people would support him. Please, fellow Filipino, let's learn to support our President. But, let's just support the person who is really worth our support.

That's good to know. I actually like Noynoy to become the leader. He seem like a very honest person. Poor Villar - he faces a tough competition now! But I told my mom a little joke a while ago. Since Noynoy announced his candidacy today, 09/09/09, turn this upside down and it's, 06/06/06. And with the craze about the world ending in 2012, I blurted out that he could be the ANTICHRIST. My mom reacted so badly. HA! But once again, it's just a joke so please don't react like my mother did.

I think some people will just vote for him because he is the son of the Former Senator Benigno Aquino Jr and Former Presiden Corazon Aquino. Since he declared his candidacy for presidency, he haved to proved to us people that he is really capable to continue what his parents have started. I want to hear his platform, his primary objective. I don't like dramas and mercy. Goodness! this country needs a very honest president and smart and courageous one. Not selfish, who love democracy and to be of service for the people. I hope he have conscience too!

I also watched that this morning at channel 2... i almost forgot about it... so it was a good thing that i switched the channel there... well, it was really about time he announced his candidacy... and it a great thing that his sisters were there to give their full support... i suddenly remembered when Cory Aquino finally decided to run against Marcos... I love his speech and the way the delivered it... i felt his genuine love for the country and that he is really determined to continue what his parents started... This sudden turn of events is really quiet exciting for me... and for sure those who expressed their desire to be the next president are suddenly thinking if they will continue on with their candidacy or just go with the flow and support Noynoy... i hope they will choose the latter...

THat will be good news though!! However, he's still quite young too, and he will have lotsa pressure on him, due to his parents influence in the past over the country.. And that, citizens of philippines needs to repsect him as he is, rather than respecting his parents, and let him win the election instead.. It's good that he's willing to run for presidency, and now is the time to show what he's capable of, using his own ability ^_^

it is somehow expected that he will make a run for the presidency after mar roxas withdrew. i hope that noynoy has really thought about the decision. it is not only about the potential of winning the presidency, it is also about running well the government that is entrenched with personal interests, corruption and low morale of bureaucracy. noynoy is one of those that i am thiking of supporting. the other two are villar and escudero.

I am glad that finally Senator Aquino announced his bid for the 2010 national election. He is my bet and I am going to vote for him. Senator Aquino's chances of winning for the next year election is big, considering that among the presidential hopefuls, he is the only person who has no scandal and controversies involved. He has a good and clean reputation and trustworthy. He is carrying a good legacy his parents were known of, so he has a good chances for next year election. I pray to God that Erap will stop his ambition and illusion to become a president again. He has a bad reputation and always involved in scandal and corruption, he may spare the country from further humiliation and trouble if he will not push through with his plan and give his full support for Senator Noynoy's candidacy, that is if Erap is sincere in his desire to help revitalized the country.

Regarding his chances of winning, I think he has a good chance of winning and I do pray he wins. Noynoy is not very eager to be in that position, being the Philippine's President, so I guess, and I hope, that he will give back the good reputation that a President of a country should have. If he is really determined not to stain the good name his parents have, I'd say he is the hope of our country. Good luck to our country come 2010!

Did he? Well thank you because I just learned it from you! Well if Noynoy will run then I think many people will support him but this may not be enough for him to win. Personally I am not sure if he deserves my vote. Actually I am not still sure of my decision but as early as now, I still am doubtful. I don't question his integrity. I think he is honorable but I still have to weigh his capability.

I hope that what his great parents did to our country will also be done by Senator Noynoy if he will be given a chance to be the next president of the Philippines. Although, it is wrong to compare him with his great parents, still, we cannot deny the fact that people are really looking and are expecting high from him. I only have one great advice to my fellow countrymen and this was also the advice of an Archbishop here in the Philippines that surnames should not affect our will to vote. So we really have to think hard and deeply decide on who we really wanted to be the next leader who would lead us to our country's future.

What's with the retreat anyways, if he's going to announce it sooner or later. It still doesn't bite, i believe that we can see it when the election comes, we will see how these people gives out their solutions when being asked for the problems of the people. and I want to see them have a real debate with each other, even for Noynoy. . I just watch it in the news tonight

For me he was just dictated by he's colleagues, friends and family. Because he's parents are famous politician because of there contributions to democracy i think this is not enough reason for Ninoy to run as a President. It is not about the status of your family but the passion of a candidate to serve the country. i hope he is worth giving a chance.
