I recently read "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne and find it totally fascinating. To think, the universe working in a distinct order, connecting like energy, with like energy. It would seem that the possibilities are endless. I recently tried an exercise from the book.
I pictured a white feather with a streak of gray. I imagined myself seeing it at work, stopping and picking it up, and staring at it in amazement. I did this for one week. Each day while I had a free moment, that is what I pictured. Then on Friday, when I was leaving work for the weekend I approached my car and there was a bumblebee flying around the driver side door. I decided to walk over to the other side to unlock the door and give the bee time to leave. As I walked around the back of my car, sitting on my trunk, was the exact feather I had pictured in my mind.
Now, this seems to me like the universe, setting time and events in order so I would receive that feather. The bumblebee, the decision to walk to the other door, finding the feather...
Is this coincidence or is this the law of attraction? Do you have any similar experiences? Have you read the secret? Do you think it is a complete waste of time?

Well put! It is so true. The power of positive thinking goes a long long way! What have you manifested? I am really experimenting with this right now. My finances are in order. My relationship with my husband is amazing and I have two outstanding kids. I feel this was not quite so a few months back, before I learned the law of attraction and just how powerful of a force I am in controlling my own destiny!

the first thing i manifested were great days at work. work use to be stressful and i didnt want it to be so i kept telling myself on the drive to work that it was going to be a great night no matter what ( i worked nights) and i had only great nights after that.
i have manifested checks in the mail. no joke. a couple of times. i needed some money badly and i got a unexpected check from work that totally helped me out. also i got a unexpected check from the court from an ticket i overpaid.
i have manifested a complete change in my attitude. i was a pessimist so i kept telling myself and praying that anytime a negative thought enters my mind i will replace it with a positive one. at first it seemed difficult cause i never really knew how many negative thoughts i had until i tried thinking positive; but now it is like second nature. it is as if i have always been an optimist.
i also have manifested close parking spaces.
one of my favorite things to manifest is the right answer to a problem ( i dont mean like pop quiz ). sometimes when i dont know what to do or how to react or what to say, or plain and simple what choice to make. i just manifest it. i pray and ask what i should do, and i trust that the best solution will come to me at the exact right moment. i let it go and then the solution just comes to me in some way, shape or form.
it is so fun. i love to do it. i get excited thinking about it ;)

It is amazing isn't it! I love that you started with work. That is such a crucial place to start. I am working on a promotion at my job. I am a total shoe in for the job and am totally ready and willing to take on the new responsibility. I have set a date for my job offer to be January 1st. Not too sure if this is a little far away but I thought the new year would be a nice time!
I am totally amazed at how many negative thoughts I have each day. I am really focusing right now on positive only. Changing behavior is not easy for sure, but well worth it from what I see. I really am enjoying giving thanks each night before I go to bed. I feel like I sleep better. Focusing on the positive instead of the OMG moments.
Do you have any tips for checks in the mail. My husband and I are on the road to being debt free and I would love to give it a huge jump start!

i've got the book, dvd and cd's of the secret. talk about insperational, got me thinking about things. so i'm working on a vision book instead of board, having fun doing it adding things when i want to. i'v just added part of the travel i want to do.
i've also found it doesn't happen over night and you have to keep working at it, so not much of what i'm looking for is coming through yet. but i feel some of it is going to be close. i keep asking my guides to help me with a few things that i need help with in my life.

yeah it's a scrap book type thing, our guides are those up starirs i'll say. they help guide us through life, like ever got that feeling about something but don't know where it came from. it's usually our guide telling us something, i get pyschic readings done ocassionaly. and the ladies i talk to both say it works.
just try, asking for something, and keep it up until you get it. work on manifeasting it as well.

What a neat idea with the vision book. Are you making a sort of scrapebook with images of what you want in life. I really like that idea a lot. I am sure it is fun since you can put yourself in a place of already feeling like it is happening. What do you mean by askng your guides? Do you know people who are experienced in the secret or does it mean something else?

Very interesting. I understand what you mean now by guides. Makes perfect sense. I have been really working at the Secret and feel like I am making progress in changing my thought processes. Thanks for filling me in! I am going to start a scrapbook this evening!

I have not read the Secret, but I do believe in positive visualization. It is hard for me to utilize but I do believe that it works, and that we have more power to conrtol our lives then we are aware of. I would love to hear more about this book, and hopefully eventually pick it up.

That is the basic premise of the book. Living, breathing and feeling positive, will only breed more positive in your life. It gives you a lot of tips on changing your current way of thinking so it reflects the positives. You really need to use your imagination and think of all the wonderful things you have in your life and what you expect later in life. There is a trick of thinking of the future as if it is the present. When you give gratitude for the glorious things that have happened to you, you are in turn drawing more good thing to happen in the future. When you have a vision of your future, you should give thanks as if it has already been received.
I have an exercise you could try if you want. Imagine yourself receiving The Secret. Picture yourself accepting it and give thanks for receiving it. Do this when you have a free minute. Perhaps, if the secret is correct, you will draw The Secret to you.
It is a wonderful book, and I highly recommend it. I am not sure if I am a follower of The Secret, or if I just like living in a more positive frame of mind these days.
