Do you really believe that health care reform is going to happen?

Given all the disagreements and opposition to reforming health care in this country, does anyone really believe that we are going to see a reform happen?
Personally, I do not think that it is going to happen. Periodically, someone takes a tilt at this windmill; and since the first time around in the sixties, nothing has ever actually happened.
And given the possible three thousand eight hundred dollar fine which Obama opposed during the campaign, I think that this camel is just going to die and disappear until the next President.
Opinions?

I think a change in health care will happen. Unfortunately, change is not reform. The same old stuff with a different name is the same old stuff.

remember when the bank bailout went through, and the stimulus?? they put up one bill, there was a big debate, and well, it didn't go through...but then, the went ahead and passed another bill so fast that there was hardly any time for us to know what was in it to debate it....
then, the second was worse than the first...
well....I expect the same thing here...the first won't go through, and the second is gonna be worse. the gov't ain't working for us anymore, the healthcare system isn't working for us anymore....it's all about how they can rake in the most profit for themselves!! and by god, if we can't provide it to them freely, they are gonna take it!

chances are it will just swirl around like any other time it's been brought up..but with my luck, they'll implement it,and i know i'll be fined.
for some reason it seems even with people financially hurting right now, they still keep hitting us with unexpected fees somehow.
people's broke, let's kick 'em some more..
