I am a conservative and watched President's Obama speech. I found it to OK and I think conservatives should be ashamed to have oppossed it. Maybe we a need a tradition that the President addresses the students every year at the start to the year? What do you think?

I think that if a president is going to tell the school children how important an education is and how they need to take responsibility for themselves than I am all for it. I don't think that children can hear get a good education to many times. I really don't care which political party the president is that would speak as long as they are trying to encourage the children to do their best, stay in school, and to make the most of their lives.

It is good to see a consevative that doesn't hate everything the president does. I think that the speech was very good, and it sent the right message to our future leaders. If we could just get our current leaders (on both sides of the isle) to learn these lessons, then we would probably be in a better place

Mater, it is all about funding, you need to find a way to fund them, and then the word will get out. With the current funding, they are lost.

I hate to see this country torn apart by a few people with strong ideas, that get peoople galvanized to go along with their limited way of thinking. Obama is our elected representative. Let's give the guy a chance without jumping on everything he proposes. I hope conservatives will not be so quick to react next time.
