Music While Studying/Working or A Silent Background?

i can concentrate more if there's music in the background. and the music drowns out people's voices. i get distracted when there are people talking. i usually wear earphones and set the volume to high so that i can do some work/studying. :-D

When i was in school and was at home studying i always had the music on as it helped me a lot because the silent background just never seemed to help me out and i would doze off and maybe even fall asleep so the music always helped me out in that department. I also turn on the music when i might be cleaning up in the kitchen or just cleaning around the house, even doing laundry i might turn on the music. I also turn on the music when I'm baking and cooking because again the silent background just isn't any good at all and to quit bugs me after a while.

before i used to do that but learning cant be done in that atmosphere, for learning we need a silent atmosphere so that the contents easily gets into our head. if we are listening to songs or our concentration is divided then studies are surely to be affected.

Studying no.. I can't concentrate when I'm studying with music background.. I prefer the silence... for work, sure.. make me relax and enjoy my work... happy day friend.. ^^

I'm like you. When doing work that needs thinking, I do it better when it's quiet. But when I'm doing repetitive or easy tasks, I usually listen to music while doing it.

My brain is functioning more when I'm listening to music. That's why I prefer to listen to music while I'm working on my assignments. The same thing with house hold chores, I prefer singing along with the song while doing it.
