Dressing & looking good is one of the most thoughtful things for people. Before you go out you defenitely would look which dress is good & what color to wear for that particular day & which dress for that particular place. So I know that you give utmost importance to your dress. Now how do you want to dress? Is it the matching colors of the top & bottom or is it the contrasting colors you like?

I would like to wear any color. I don't necessarily pick out colors to match my outfit. I have many cloths that are dark in color and maybe that's why I am able to wear anything with it, and the thought of I am wearing jeans all the time to go with my top means that I have no idea on mixing colors and how it affect the way I dress. But if I am to choose I like to dress up in contrasting colors because they fir well. If your top is bright and your bottom wear is dark. I think it will perfectly match. I don't think using matching colors can do any good. Well this is only my opinion and I really have that span of idea in fashion, but I watch fashion tv a lot and they say the most beautiful color to go out with is black. I guess that is so true since I have been wearing black for quite some time and many appreciate it and adore my clothing.

Hello krupesh..It good to talk with you again...How are you today? When I get ready to go somewhere I do want to look nice. I will match my clothing and as well as the jewelry too. If I am wearing a shirt that has some yellow in it I will grap a pair of yellow earrings to buy out the color in my shirt. You have a nice day and better tomorrow...

Good question. I'd have to say I prefer contrasting colours that match. For instance, I mainly wear blue, but many of my blue dresses are not plain blue: they are a mixture of blue and green. While some blues and greens don't match, most do - and look superb together. Yes, I'll settle for contrasting colours that match.

I like the look of colors that coordinate or are close in color. For example, if I wear dark purple pants or skirt, then I want to wear a light purple (lilac) shirt and lilac socks. I also want a matching head band, light purple. I like how that looks together. I also like how black pants/skirts go with bright color tops. Mostly I like to wear bright cheerful colors because they make me happy with their brightness. It is hard to be sad or down in a bright pink shirt!

Dressing is greatly concerned with your personality. I always wear according to the place and occassion. While going for office, I prefer to wear decent clothes. Light colour shirt with dark pant. While for going for hanging out or some party, I wear casuals and party wears. Colour combination is very important. It generates attraction of others towards you. If proper combination is not selected, the precious clothes will even look dull.

my top and bottom clothing aren't always of the exact color. if ever i wear one color, i make sure that the shade of the color differs. if not, i use printed top with colors matching my skirt or pants. it has always been my interest to dress up when i go out, matching the dress with any occasion/place i am going.

I do match colors from my dress and to my skirt or pants and sometimes, for the accessories as well. I can't wear contrast colors, it's too funny for me. Besides, I think matching clothes make us look good and more confident. I can't imagine myself wearing green pants and red dress. Wow~~~ I'll be the joke until my contract ended.

It is the best thing to do to match the colors of what you are wearing. I myself do not want to look like an ornament when I dress up, it would be unwise.

I like matching colours and contrast colours for my dresses. I also prefer single colours. As long as the colour suits my complexion and the material is comfortable, others are secondary. i prefer the better suiting colour as the top and the least suiting colour for the bottom. Dressing for the occassion is very important, and equally important is choosing the colour for the occassion also the colours I choose depends on the time I am wearing it.

Hi krupesh, I dress formally when I am going to office. But I am greatly concerned about my color and uniqueness. I consider it as a personality trait. I love to wear dark pants mostly and somewhat similar or contrasting with my shirts. I used to prefer white collars that really shows a good look. Most of all I want to get attracted by my dressings and also by my attitude. Really I have seen people attracted by their dressing sense. I really have those from my childhood. But most of the time I want to be in casuals when I am away from my office. At that time I won't give much importance to my dress.. Cheers,,, Have a nice day always...

It depends on my mood. My basic rule is that one part of the outfit should pick up one or some of the colors from other parts of the outfit so that they look more cohesive and put together.

Hi Kurpesh, You issue a good question there, and your topic is quite easy to catch people's eye. What is the secret?:) I love the plaint style dress in my office wear, did not want complicated one. Ordinarily I will match colours of the top and bottom, but I do appreciate to those who wears the clothes in contrast, as that will be very cool and with the personality trait that I do not have enought brave to do it.

i think it depends on the outfit one is wearing and then it can be decided whether to match or to contrast. at times, matching colors look very smart and are appropriate too.. for instance, white on white looks classy and elegant. on the other hand, a contrast can create interest and a stronger fashion statement. think, red t-shirt and blue jeans. or even, white and blue. so, in the end, it evenutally depends on what one is wearing. personally, i do a mix of both. days when i match colors and accessories and days when i contrast and play with colors.

You are right, we always choose the dress before go out, especially for a particular day. But for me, I am not so care about the color as the color for my dress is almost same. My criterion for dress is comfortable.

Hello krupesh. For my style, i always wanted to look presentable yet at the same time i am comfortable. I choose to wear contrasting colors than matching ones so as not to appear unfashionable and bright. Sometimes matching colors are head-turners, so i am trying to avoid that. I just want to look casual and professional.

I may be a bit old fashioned but I really do love pastels. Oh I know they make people look dull. But I find them irresistable. I do wear brighter shades as well and quite a few of them are also my favorites. I'd give muted shades of reds, blues, browns etc., a pass. They are a definite no no in my wardrobe. In so far as contrast is concerned, I prefer shades that blend. For example, white and black, pink and black, yellow and black, or yellow and brown. I cant understand how pink can go with blue. But that is the present trend! I used to find my maids wearing such contrasts, and I considered it to be because they couldnt really afford to be choosey as they received such things from different employers. At least they will be more comfortable now.

Indifferent for me. I just dress what I feel more comfortable with according to what's available for me at a given time. If the colors either match or just contrast one with the other, it's all a matter of luck.
