The coming October 1st will be the 60th anniversary of China's founding. In Tiananmen Square there will be a accustomed parade, which is long considered by the chinese as an "imoprtant way of displaying the strength of armed force and building up national pride". It seems to be that China is going on a wrong way. Noted that previous leader Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping and Jiang all reviewed troops, and in China every president would very likely have 10 years of the terms of office. This is to say that every ten years there will be a HUGE military parade in Tiananmen Square. The problem is, can a developing china afford it?

A decade for a country, it can be a great step forward. I have full confidence in China! I believe that ten years later, China's National Day military parade will still cause a stir in the international arena.

The rise of China is iressistable.Western powers should look squarely at this issue and regards China as a potential partner instead of a potential foe.

In my view, the answer is absolutely yes. Chinese government is undoubtedly the richest government in the world. But I don't think a parade need to be held every ten years. Such expenditures could be shifted to people's livelihood.

China is a peace-loving country who has never put even a finger on any other country. From what you have said I find you know well about China.I suppose you are a Chinese youslf.Foreigners tend to sepll Mao Zedong as"Mao tsz-tung".Since the Opium war,China was reduced to semi-colonial and semi-feudal society under the thunmb of imperialists.Even samll countries like Dutch,Portugal can bully us at will.Without a strong national defense force, the fate of China will be in the hand of others. Those who foget about history is condemned to repeat it.We chinese have no intention to invade into other country, but we should resolutely strike back when others launch aggression war against us.
