Hi all,
One of the popular dishes where I live is called a poutine. It is a fast food dish made with french fries covered in cheese, usually cheese curds, with gravy poured on top. It is delicious!! There are also many ways to make it; you could add meat, veggies, or change the sauce.
I was telling one of my friends about it, he lives in England where they don't have poutine, and he said he wouldn't eat it because it sounds gross. I have been eating this since I was young, so I never looked at it like that.
Do you think this is gross? Have you tried pouutine? And if you know what I am talking about what is the best poutine you have ever eaten? My favourite was made my an old boss at a restaurant I worked at. He would fry up some mushrooms and spice them up and then add them to the poutine.

I think we have a version of it here in Malaysia at the KFC restaurants. We called it cheese wedges. It's fried potato wedges smothered with cream cheese. It's so delicious. I can just eat those for lunch and nothing else. I think the cheese is what makes it so delicious and scrumptious. This is making me hungry. I should get one of those wedges now.

Hi Ladyhope
I've never heard of Poutine but it sounds similar to a dish found at places like TGIF,Applebees, Friendly's , ect... its not a complicated dish any restaurant who has fries and cheese and gravy could make it but I'm sure its called something , at Friendly's they have a dish called Loaded Waffle Fries
Its Waffle Fries with cheese sauce ,bacon bits , served with sour cream and chives gravy can be added for extra fat if desired .
A lot of people like that particular dish its pretty big and gets lots of cheese on it.
I don't think what Poutine is gross if you like it thats all that matters:-)
