The end of the world.

How many people realised the world was supposed to end on 9th hour of the 9th day of the 9th month 2009.It came on the radio this morning about how some people read suspiscion into numbers.Apparently these people have been waiting for the world to end,how will they cope with us all being here safe and sound. How will they face their friends and family after this,do they go out and spend all their money, give all their stuff away, but why should they as the world is supposed to end.I would feel a right fool and let down if I was walking about ,predicting the end of the world and nothing happened. How do you deal with all this talk about the world ending.Or are you like me ,well if it happens it happens, there is nothing I can do about it.

well I did read some articles online about 9/9/09 but nothing about end of the world. It doesn't bear any special meaning to me, 9 is not my number anyway. the end of the world is supposedly 2012 according to many ancient predictions of various cultures. I posted quite a few discussions about this date because it's interesting to me to find out what the majority thinks will happen and where will they be when the world ends. I am not afraid of it, I will have to die someday anyway so why not die with the whole population ? the merrier the better !
since the end of the world can be caused by anything from global warming to some asteroids or UFO attacks, I really look forward to Dec 2012 to see what exactly will happen that makes this date so special for ancient civilizations. if the world ends in 2009 oh well then ancient people were wrong LOL so when we die and our spirits meet theirs we can tell them 'well that's earlier than you said'

hi suzzy3, well I'm a bit like you but not exactly. hehe I'm not that paranoid like the ones you heard on the radio. And I really don't like waiting for the world to end like I already want it to end. But I still take some thinking about how to make my life fruitful. Anyway about the date, it didn't even scared me a bit, I mean they always do that every year. It's annoying already, don't they ever get tired on trying to end the world when it was not yet meant to end. Maybe they just don't have anything more useful to do.lol They always try to make a news out of it especially on June 6, 2006. Since it's 666. But then nothing happened. Cause nobody really knows when will the world exactly ends.

Hi suzzy3, haha that was so funny I like that. Yah, I think they should do that volunteer thingy, since I guess they really feel that they don't have any use in this world, most probably not happy with their lives. I mean who would, in the right mind, wants for the end of the world to come, anyway.
By the way thanks for the add. =)

And there's me thinking the world was going to end in 2012 LOL! There have been so many predictions of the world coming to an end, depending on who if anyone you listen to. Apparently there is going to be an asteroid that wipes us out according to Nostradamus I believe and so we have 3 years left to live, so lets blow our money and have a party. Seriously though as you rightfully said when it happens there is nothing we can do about it, what we can do is to appreciate every day we have on this earth as no one knows whats around the corner. So live for today, make the most of life it's short enough. As for those poor souls who thought that 09.09.09 was going to be it, well there's always 10.10.10 to look forward too ;00

Yikes you are making me queasy with all those activities! I just want to fly to New Zealand, get my own place and find true peace and happiness in myself. Oh and win the lottery, mind you I'd probably have the same chance of predicting the day the world ends as I have predicting 6 damn numbers each week!

Whenever it ends, it ends. I don't think the world will physically end but humanity might be wiped out. I'm ready for it anytime.
It says in the Bible that nobody will have forewarning and I believe that. We have to live as if it were our last day but also as if we have a lifetime to live.

It is supposed to say somewhere in the Bible that not even the Angels know the time or the hour of the end. If I had a dime for each time the end of the world was here I could go on a two week vacation. I try to enjoy each day that I have on this beautiful earth, laughing with loved ones, playing with my dogs, and thanking God for it all. I don't worry about the end because when it does come if I am still alive I will be ready.

Oh my?!?! lol... What station were you listening to? I think that there are lot more issues that need to mentioned rather than numbers matching to "whatever".... Does this mean I have about an hour according to these people? lol....

Well, the ninth has come and gone and here we are. I don't listen to those kind of predictions. There have been so many of them and nothing has ever happened. If the world is going to come to an end then there is nothing we can do about it so it is crazy to worry about it.

When all these horrendous humorous predictions come round I have one query every time - where?
Like this time too - it was supposed to be on the 9th hour of the 9th day and so forth but where? The ninth hour in which continent? Just because all is well and the ninth hour has passed somewhere does not mean we are over the worst - or does it?
What a load of rubbush, come off it!

Very very good mysd. You have to know what time zone you're predicting for. Here's another thought. If the world is to end as specifically as that does it mean that each time zone will reach it's end at that time so that the world will disappear like a pie that is being served? mwaaah haa haa

hi suzzy3 i havent a worry about the endo f the world, it'will come if it does and theres nothing I cou ld do about it and since I believe inGod and Jesus I will be saved. I have a lot more real things to be concerned with in just plain living myself.like my health.

When I was younger I used to get really scared when I would hear things like the world coming to an end. I would get sick because worried so much about it. When the day came and the world was still here I was relieved. Then, I realized that nobody can do anything to stop the end of the world and only God knows when that end is going to be. I can't stop it.

i think we should enjoy our life on earth instead of anticipating its end. it's nice to be alive.if it's going to happen, then let it happen. what is more important in this world is not its end but the life that blooms when it started it existence.be happy! ;)

Unfortunately 9th has passed & nothing has ended other than time. I believe the world will end one day, but that day will be a day when people will least expect such a thing to happen. There are still rumors with powerful evidences that world will end by 2012, you can check out here for details http://taztheexclusive.tk
But I still won't be in a state of believing it until it really happens.
Happy Lotting

I just don't believe in this kind of thing. Lot of people have said things like that in the past too. And the world has seen lives been destroyed by such predictions. I feel pity for those who have put their faith in such stupid things. I wish things like that don't repeat in future.

I never heard anything about it, I guess its not true, we're still here, but then again its only 12:00 noon here, so it could still happen. I don't believe we can predict when the world will end, its not for us to know, we're just supposed to be ready for when it does happen. Like you said, when it does happen, it happens, there's nothing we can do about it.

the media creates such hype around anything. end of the world has been going on for a long time. first it was year 2000. i have seen evangelicals going around asking people to convert before the arrival of jesus so that all are saved. i have kicked out a dozen of them when they came to my home with their silly theories. now the new thing is 2012.
none of these things are going to happen. because those who talk about end of world do not know what they are talking about. ofcourse the year 2012 there is a shift in a cosmic cycle which happens once in a few ten thousand years. apart from that nothing is going to happen. we are going to live happily if we remain happy. lets make the lives of those 'end of world preachers' miserable and have fun.

Gee, I had no idea. I never heard about anything happening on 09/09/09 except the obvious numerological significance, especially at 09:09 hrs. I didn't feel the earth shake or anything just as it didn't at the turn of the millennium which also turned out to be a non-event. I guess the people that said the world would end were wrong. Now they'll have to find some other significant number sequence to base their fears on. I guess they will have to join the crowd that thinks the world will end on December 21, 2012 when the planets align and the earth will shift on it's axis. That's the next big milestone and it's bound to cause the biggest uproar yet.
