Pizza toppings

I recently enjoyed a pickle, pinnapple and spinach pizza... I know what you must be thinking, Gross! Well, actually, it was quite good. The flavors worked really well together and it was delicious. Now, I was pregnant at the time of eating it, so perhaps that had something to do with it. But, I shared this pizza with three other people and they all seemed to enjoy it. I am wondering what pizza combinations people enjoy! I really want to order a pizza for dinner tonight and want to get something out of the ordinary. It is my birthday afterall and the rest of my family will have to suffer. Sometimes we order food because we crave it, sometimes we order the same thing just because it is easy and sometimes we just get creative. Please share your original pizza topping ideas!

That really doesn't sound very good, but there are a lot of weird things that taste good when you are pregnant. When I was pregnant I was convinced that I liked this one particular dish. When I tried to eat it after I had my baby, however, I couldn't understand how I could have ever eaten it let alone enjoyed it! The fact that a couple of people that weren't pregnant liked the pizza, though, seems to suggest that it might not be as bad as it sounds.

They sure are! I did check in with them and they said they really did enjoy the pizza. We are actually going to make on I saw on TV today. Fennel, tomato and sage... should be interesting!

pregnancy does make you crave funny things! It is funny how so much of you changes to accommodate the beautiful little babies. Either the pizza was not that bad or I have some pretty great friends!!!

It might not be bad, but I think that I would probably not be eating that kind of pizza. My boyfriend used to work in Hawaii on apineapple plantation and he no longer likes or eats pineapple. It is something that he is really not happy with. Other wise I would be eating a Ham and pineapple pizza.

I always liked Ham Pinnapple and Onion! Too bad for you though, maybe you get a half with pinnapple on it... or just a few slices.

bacon bits... interesting. I like Bacon on pizza but it might have to try it with the bits. Great idea!

At first I was skeptical about pineapple but it really turned out to be one of my favorite toppics. I also like sausage. Ham's alright although I'm not particularly a fan of that meat outside of bacon bits.. which might be good on a pizza too!

I am willing to try any combination of pizza toppings as long as I know that someone enjoyed them. I like trying out different kinds of food but I do not know how to prepare them. I am more of an eater than a cook hehehe The pizza you mentioned sounds interesting, I wonder where I can find a pizza like that here in our place...

I just called my local pizza place and that is what i ordered. I actually got a call back from the cook as he was getting ready to make the pizza to confirm the toppings. It was pretty funny! Give it a try, you might find any local pizza joint will make it for you! Let me know what you think :)

I used to work in a deli/bakery. I pretty much ran the bakery and out front was the deli where they also served pizza. At lunch my favorite pizza was a just-out-of-the-oven warm slice of mushroom pizza. Then I would pour hot sauce on it. Not tabasco, but the off brand... good stuff!! I also like to put all veggies on pizza and with it add those little salad pepper rings. man, it changes the whole flavor and is delicious!!

I do love those banana peppers. Lots of veggies are great, with the garlic butter dipping sauce!!! That sounds like a pretty sweet job. I worked at a pizza place for a while but I was a waitress. The pizza's were mountain pies and prairie pies. When you finished you slice of mountain pie and all that was left is the crust you take some honey and dip the crust into the honey and it made one of the greatest deserts I have ever had.

I do love pinnaple on my pizza. The sweetness combined with the cheese makes the perfect combination. I also like to combine it with something that is salty like olives. I like to put black and green olives on my pizza as well. Once i had a slice of pizza that had goat cheese and green and black olives. The combination was perfect! I also like to use peppers and mushrooms on my pizza as well.

I have never used green olives. That is a great idea and I will have to try that very soon! Funny thing about mushrooms is that I only like them when I am pregnant. I am not sure why, but I craved them and would eat them like candy... Not pregnant now so I have little interest in them. Great suggestion on the green olives. I love salty :)

I have 2 favorites. One is spicy with jalapenos, pepperoni, mushrooms, olives and red sauce. The other is Mediterranean with chicken, spinach, feta, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts and a white garlic sauce. You might want to look up your favorite pizza place online to see a topping list. Have fun.

I enjoy eating it even everyday, i dont really like pizza with lots of toppings i feel that i am full already just seeing all the toppings so ham and cheese for me is the best, keep on mylotting

Ham and Cheese seems to be very popular. Do you tend to get extra cheese on it?

I have never actually had sausage on a pizza. Is it a sweet or spicy sausage usually. I might need to try that soon!
