I came into work yesterday and I find the best surprise ever! 5 kitties , 3 of them 6 weeks and two of them 2 months, stumbling around my office! I have completely overloaded on cuteness, it's oozing out of my pores! I work on an acreage and my boss is a man with a huge heart who loves animals, and more importantly, has the means to take care of them when they need it! The mother of the 6 week olds was killed by a coyote about a week ago. So sad! The 2 month olds were abandoned by some filthy pathetic excuse of a person... You can not have a bad day or be grumpy when you have 5 kittens following you around and climbing on you while you work! One questions.... How long does it take for wee kittens to learn to clean themselves properly (they are a mess after visiting the litter box!), they lost their mommy and I'm wondering if it will take them longer because their mom is no longer around to groom them.....

Hi FFFrocks, Awwwww, poor kitten, loosing their mother like that, I wouldn't mind going to work and having kitten clamouring all over me, I won't be doing any work, I'll be too busy giveing the kitten a bath in the sink, lol and the take them home with me, cute. Tamara

You have no idea how proud I am of getting some work done with them in the office with me. They are all so darn cute! I'm like the pied piper right now. Everywhere I go I have 5 kittens stumbling after me all in a row. My boss and his wife are also subjecting me to kitten checks before I leave to make sure none of my pockets are meowing....

Nothing cuter than kittens! At six weeks old they may still need a little help, but should soon start figuring it out on their own. Moistened cottons balls is what we always used to clean and stimulate young kittens to "potty." If they are already using the litter box, that is a great start.

thanks for the advise. They are using the litter box but it's a very messy affair right now. I'm going to have to clean them up a bit. The suggestion of cotton balls is good, I don't want to actually bathe them (dunk in water) so I'll try wiping them down!
