Are you generous in giving tips in hotels?

I do not tip in hotels, primarily because the way I see it, the price I pay for my room includes all the amenities and services offered with the room.

The rule of thumb is $1 per person each day you stay. Always leave the tip in the morning before you leave for the day, with a note indicating the money is be used by the maid. Leaving a tip each day and not just the last day ensures that the person cleaning your room during the time you are there gets the benefit.
