healthy eating, physical activity and blood glucose testing are the basic therapies for type 2 diabetes...in addition many people with type 2 diabetes require oral medication insulin or both to control heir blood glucose level..
i give an answer to type 2 of diabetes since someone answer you for type 1 diabetes..:)

or autoimmune dsorder which the body does not recognize an organ as its own and attacks it in pancreas where insulin is made, ds can be diagnosed at age 40 and above...while diabetes type 2 is occurs when the insulin in the body produces is less effecient at moving sugar out of the bloddstream, high blood sugar is result for this. through sugar test in how to know what typr of diabetes

To date there is no cure for diabetes. My son has type 1 and takes insulin. He no longer uses needles but uses a pump. He counts his carb intake and puts it into the pump and it calculates the amount of insulin he gets. Diabetes is caused when the pancreas stops functioning.

I am not aware of any foods that will help prevent this. Some say that type 1 is hereditary others disagree. Type 2 happens when someone is over weight has a poor diet and does not exercise.

Hi shankes,
My father was diabetic too. He was 20 years diabetic. Family friends get amazed because we were able to survive our father that long.
You should know that diabetes is a lifelong disease. There's no cure for it. Diabetes can only be controlled. You have to watch anything that you're father eats. The difficult part is that, they cannot eat most of the foods that they have enjoyed prior to acquiring the disease. Also, you have to monitor the blood sugar of your father from time to time.
A friend of mine introduced me to YACON. It's a food that's good for diabetic person. Search on the net so you'll personally know the benefits.

I don't think so. Having the disease does not mean it will make your life shorter. It can though if the person is, first and foremost, CARELESS.
The key why my father survived his illness that long is that he was a very disciplined person. When I say discipline, he's really tough on himself that I don't think any person with the same illness can do.
What can the medication do if the patient can't control himself from eating sweets? It will become useless.

I added you as friend, please accept the friend request as I can send you more information which I can not write on a discussion. My husband is an example of your question. He controlled diabetics without medicine. And he is sure that it will cure. He and his friends are using the same products.

I was 26 yrs old when I was tested for my sugar level. I have a high glucose.
My doctor advise me to avoid food that are sweet and have a high sugar contain. Have may daily exercise. And maintain my insulin to.
There are many complications will occur especially having diabetes. He should better watch for his health.

To date I have not known any medicinal cure for it. Diabetes is a disease where one of your internal organs does not function properly anymore. It has something to do with your pancreas, where it has either stopped producing insulin that processes your blood sugar to be absorb by your cells. Excess of sugar in the blood would mean it could damage you other organs or have other complication in your body like high blood pressure problems in the kidney, eyes and many more.
The best that you could really do is stop the vices that you were in and have a healthy lifestyle and take the proper medications prescribed. Many says doing that may slow down the progression of your disease and eventually make your life longer. But as you grow old that disease would also catch up with you and eventually would fall into it when your body weakens as you grow old.
