Just read it!

More and more often I'm finding that people DO NOT read entire posts. I'll admit myself sometimes that if it's a really long discussion I might skim it to see if I'm even interested in what the discussion is about. I just find it really frustrating when I start a discussion and OVER HALF of the responses say crap that obviously isn't true if only they had read the ENTIRE discussion. And I'm not one to post SUPER LONG discussions. I do understand that there are a lot of people here who do not speak English as their first language but I also can usually tell when that is the case and when it is not. Has anyone else noticed this lately? I think I feel better now that I vented. lol I just hope I'm not the only one who has been frustrated by this!

Only if the discussion is very, very interesting I would read the entire discussion and respond. Otherwise I only respond to discussion that hasn't got many responses yet. I'm just too lazy to read so many posts that sometimes are just not worth reading. This way I won't appear stupid to have said something that has already been said. Discussions that have already so many responses no matter how interesting it is really turn me off. I choose only new discussions or those with less than 5 responses.

If I'm going to respond to a post, I *definitely* read the whole thing...probably why I don't reply to long, deep, existential discussions...too much brainpower required. :D However, I don't read every single response if there are multiple pages of responses. I sometimes maybe read the first page and reply to a few there, or just post my own response. People who don't read the main discussion post also really irk me, but what can you do really? MyLot IS here for the money and many people are just here for it, so some people will naturally not put as much effort into the quality of the content of their posts.

This is true. It can be pretty obvious at times. Another thing I've observed is that some of the answers are really awesome but the person will reply back with 1 word. It has not happened to me but I've noticed on some discussions.

If the discussion is real long I will skim it I know I should read it all but do not at first. When I am writing my response I will usually read more of the discussion to try and make sure that I am responing to it. Sometimes the discussion are a little hard to understand.

I honestly didn't write this about a specific someone. It's just something that I noticed at Mylot over the last month!

First of all, I was amazed by your title. I thought that the content of your discussion is totally different and when I read your discussion I was able to say that it has been well connected. I can really say that I don't read discussions myself, especially when it is very long and all the content are all gibberish and no utilization of proper words to describe what the writer is trying to say. I hate to read when I feel that there is no ending to the one I am reading and all you can gain after you are reading is nothing. Well, there are some discussion that is intriguing and I read to those kind of discussion. XOXO_

I usually read the discusssion as well as the responses, unless there are pages and pages of responses. I will read the first page to get the idea of what other users are thinking about the discusson, and then I will post my own response. to it. You have discusons that are real long, and then you others that really don't have any substance. Those really aren't worth bothering with, unless it is a newbie who might need help and so I will respond to help them out if at all possible. There are also responses that I have seen that I read them and I can't figure out what they are trying to say, especially the ones that can't speak english to well. it is very hard to post reasponses to thsoe discusions and resspond to them. I have seen some that just have a few word discussions. I seems like people just don't want to take the time to read the discussion to get the idea what it is about. If the discussion is really long, then I will read bits and pieces of it, to get the idea fo what the discussion content is about. I jus pretty much post to those that aren't really long and ones that I can understand and respond to. Good luck to you and happy mylottting.

I think most of us noticed that too. I am one of the people who doesn't use English as my first language but i try to understand and express myself through the language. I am kind of guilty of posting long discussions so as to earn more but i try to share some knowledge and experience that i have to impart some things i want to share. Anyway, if this thing happens, do you rate them as negative or you just let them pass?

It really depends. If it's obvious that English is their first/main language and they're just being careless and not reading then I may rate them negatively. I save the negative ratings for people who really deserve them - meaning I don't just give them out left and right. So if I rate someone negatively it must be pretty bad!

A lot people seem to do that, I was reading a discussion earlier and noticed that someone had left a strange reply that had nothing at all to do with the discussion. I guess some people will just reply to make extra cash, and they don't care about what they put as a reply.

The truth is , i think , that if everyone reads the whole long discussions , no one will have time to make enough posts to earn some good money :) ... Im new here , so i dont know things go yet , but i mnot really sure what do u mean by disgussions... the whole topic with all answers , or just the heading message u posted ? (Its really nice venting out what u think , isnt it ? :D )

But you see - that's not the point of Mylot. Mylot isn't suppose to be a "race" to earn the most money. If you don't want to read a discussion then you shouldn't be here. Part of mylot is reading, then responding.

Yes , you are right , but remember , most of the ppl here join with the thought theyre gonna earn money :) If everyone was here to read , and ppl kept coming to read and discuss , there wouldnt be the need for money reward :) So , sadly , most of the ppl are just in for the payment :(
