if you won the lottery, how will you spend your money?

Well, I find this question almost once a month in my life. And the answers stay the same. Here they go: 1. Donate to churches, schools, and orphanages. 2. Combating hunger, epidemic diseases (such as AIDS, Swine flu, or SARS). 3. Help poor students to complete their studies. 4. Giving free food for those who haven't eaten for a month. 5. Spare some for myself. =). I will use it for travelling around the world, buy comfortable house and complete my education!

if I won the lottery,first,i will buy three house for my parents and sister ansd brother and myself,then give my parents enough money that they do not need hard working anymore.some money for my brother and my sister's studying.Donate some,portion for investing.And i want to own one book bar and go on studying in school.

I am not gonna choose your category because i have other plans. If I won the lottery, i would save it first, then buy a house along all with it's taxes and mortgage. then, apply for a job while save the money to banks that are trusted by the public, and i won't let anybody know about the money. just gonna keep it a secret

Well of course firstly i would buy a big house with a beautiful garden for my family and then i would give money to my father and sisters to improve their life quality. I hope that i can live with my father in my big house. I would buy a car too . Maybe i would donate some money to those students who cann't afford to continuing their study. And for the rest of money i would leave some to the bank, some for our daily use and some to invest in stock.

If I won the lottery, I'd put some money away for savings. The rest of it I would spend on every extravagance I've been denied. I would buy whatever my heart desired and I would have fun doing it.

HMMMM....Buy a house, pay off all my bills, take a vacation with my boys, put enough away for college, invest, donate to several charities for children and animals, adopt a child, help my mother, help the rest of my family and help those around me.

hello alexaeluna, that will be great. given a chance i will spend it wisely too with my family. i'll save some, put into business, buy properties that is profitable, share the money with charitable institution and less fortunate, buy a house of my dream and maybe travel so i can go to some places that i like to see with my family.

Hi there If i won a lottery first of all i will go to my dreams destinations.Then after my long trips then i would start thinking what to do with the rest of the money.Helping my family would be my first goal Cheers!

If i won the lottery my first step will be to store the whole money in the bank.second step is to allot money to every individual and to store it in her or his account.third step to have a counselling with family about the money to keep it up as it is.i will withdraw some amount from my sons account and to build a well decorated house so that a good earning can be made and the whole family can live happily on its earning.

This seems to be a constant discussion around this community... Anyway, depending of what lottery we are talking about (look at the European one for example, 15 million Euros guaranteed) the plans would vary, but, assuming it would be a really sizable amount: 1) Put a certain amount in savings earning interest. 2) Put a certain, small amount aside for immediate expenses 3) Start paying the house bills 4) Give money to certain friends (Reasonable amounts that could probably make them not have to ever work again). 5) Make some donations to charity. 6) Keep the rest of the money around and wait to see what happens in the meanwhile. If you're searching for the part that says "Buy a mansion" or "Travel around the world" or "Buy a sports car", you won't find it since I crave for nothing of those things... well, I'd probably buy a new computer and some equipment to fiddle with so that I could keep getting some experience in the IT field, but other than that I'm comfortable where I am. My house isn't big, but it's cozy; traveling around the world isn't my interest although I'd probably want to visit this or that friend at some point (using the interested gathered from the invested money), but that's about it.

Interesting issue.. I prefer to put some in the bank like you.Then I'll spend a lot of money on my business,maybe start a big supermarket or something with my friends.of course,some money will be given to my parents and relatives. I'll also be careful,because many people know you have won the lottery,some with bad purpose may be dangerous . Finally,I'll donate some to the poor children,and the rest for entertainment.

hmm.. If I won the lottery I would probably wait to get it before planning, seeing as taxes reduce the total after all. Well I would probably get my family a new house equipped with all the new technologies and stuff. I'd donate to charity too, and probably travel as well. I'd also put some of it into my own business, what kind of business I don't know yet. And the rest I'll save. Have a good day!

if i won the lottery i would do the following: 1. buy myself, my mom, my dad, my sister and my brother cars. 2. buy a house and lot in quezon city. 3. buy myself a dell xps m1730. 4. buy me and my friends a travel around the world ticket. 5. buy myself all the latest gadgets (wii, psp, blackberry, etc.) 6. put up a computer/internet cafe business. 7. try my best to visit all the disneylands and disney worlds in the world with my whole family. 8. buy my dogs some nice food and get them groomed. 9. buy a couple more houses in different parts of the country. 10. buy all the books that i have always wanted to read. 11. buy all the dvds that i have always wanted to watch. :-)

First I would get a financial advisor, investment analyst - a reputable one. 2. I would go away for a few weeks. 3. Quit my job. 4. Pay off my sister & brother's mortgages and set up educational funds for all nieces and nephews. I would also set up funds for my ex's grandchildren. 5. I find the best d*mn investigator in Texas and find the person who hit my stepson and left him lying on the road to die. That person should not be free. 6. I would donate money to a few charities 7. I would sell my home and move so that I could be closer to my family. Not a bigger house. 8. I would buy an RV to do some traveling. 9. I would buy a new car - my van is 12 years old. 10. I would buy my husband a new bicycle. 11. I would find a cleaning woman for my new house. 12. I would give money to some charities that I think deserve it.

if i won a lottery first and foremost thing is to buy a house for my family, pay off my dad's loan.get some money to open an account for my mom who never had a chance at it as she is just a homemaker.then a chunk of money will go for the charity.rest i will invest so that it can be put to wise use later on too.

1. Building a new business online that can generate money continue. 2. Investing to trusted HYIPs. 3. Investing in FOREX trader. 4. Investing in money game (not much). 5. Building a new business in real time, not online business. And the others, save the money for life. With my plan above, I can generating my money even bigger and the I will help those who need money to give them a job so in this world there are no more people that begging, or being poor.

Go to school for something I want to get a degree in and not just something that would make me money. Probably would be a degree in art or photography. My husband would go to school to become a history professor. 5. Would adopt children. I wouldn't adopt babies. I want to adopt the older children that people often forget about. 6. Travel with my family. 7. Set up educational/trust funds for my children.

I would pay off all my debt and then invest on something that would make me more money. Also help the needy is another thing i would do.
